To-day we have come into a new camp from where we shall embark and so there is only a last bastion between us and the fight in front of us. Upon waking, I was informed that we have sustained heavy losses during the night since I retired from my post. It appears we have lost all the gains we worked so hard for since the first skirmishes broke out a few days ago. Yesterday we fought all day, and everyone was completely exhausted when we were called back. I have never seen anything like it. Surely it set new records for the sheer amount of bets placed in one 12-hour period!

Now there are only 30 days until Christmas and there is more pressure than ever. If we're going to retire by Christmas, we'll need to push forward with the same tenacity, at the same grueling pace as we have during the past few days. But I don't know if we can! I don't know if supplies can keep up! I fear another ill-advised manoeuvre like yesterday could lead not just to overstretching our lines, but if there should be a counter-attack, we could be completely overrun. 10 September is not so long ago as for any of these men to forget it. No, we do not want that again!

Still, I remain optimistic. There's word that headquarters are considering a "knock-out punch" of sorts. I don't even know what the means, but if it's as bad as they say it is, and if it actually works, I have to wonder, is there going to be anything worth taking from the conquered enemy, if we destroy him so badly and leave him in ruins?

The last few days have been an absolute stalemate, and a frustrating one at that. I have encountered a sniper. He has been stealing my lines and preventing the ability to make any advances. I am preparing my kit especially for him, and tomorrow he will find me waiting. I will lay siege upon his lines, maxing anything and everything with value. I will starve him out, leaving him to stumble out and surrender. Lord have mercy upon his soul whoever shall get in the way of the offensive! We march onward to victory, we will be popping Christmas bottles in their capitals!

Man, I wish I had seen that guy's photo before depositing at Betislands.
