Thanks. Looks like now they moved it back to 10c but used a lower cutoff to move to 15c than previously.

Where did these "Official" threads come from and why are they here now?

I think some other subforum that got merged into here. Not that it really matters as this subforum is mostly dead anyway.

It is somewhat jarring to see people actually betting in the sports betting forum

Has anyone ever heard of a baseball Double Result bet being graded after the 4th! inning/ end of game?
Standard is 5th inning/ end of game.

Well, Will/Hill/Caesars does.

Double Result

Predict the result at both the end of the 4th innings and the end of the game.
Extra innings are included.
Both predictions must be correct for bets to be successful.
$20 lesson to read the fine print.

Are there any sportsbooks with decent customer service? I deposited $200 at MGM and was supposed to get $100 in bonus funds, but instead I got credited with $150 in cash and $150 in bonus money (4x rollover requirement + you can't bet on some odds). So basically they stole $50 from me.

I contact their chat support and the person says there's nothing they can do. I live in AZ so I called their customer support # and the lady tells me to e-mail them to escalate it. I'm 99% sure the same people who do the live chats and the phones are the same people who answer the e-mail so I have very little confidence that I will actually get my issue resolved. I guess I can try to make a complaint to the AZ gaming division at some point if they won't give me my $50 back.

What's the deal with 5dimes? Just from some googles - they were going to shut down last year, now they're back up? I keep seeing them with very favorable lines , but not sure I even want to keep money there.

TomG Official Tout for Replay by Ken Grimwood. I'd never even heard of the book until recently. Of course, I come to find out Najdorf had already read it back in middle school. It's one of those rare books that is both a fun read with layers of depth to it. It even has some fun gambling/prediction/finance content with the protagonist betting on the Dodgers to sweep the Yankees in the 1963 World Series with foreknowledge of the result.

The first HSNL thread dates back to like 2006? Who would be so brazen (stupid???) to bet in a public forum?

I'm finally at the point where I should probably be betting more than my prop limits. For various reasons, I cannot always get the same amount down on each prop. Should I be betting as much as I can on every prop, even if that means sometimes I'm betting $100 and sometimes $1000? Or is it better to aim for a more uniform bet size. Not using Kelly. My gut tells me, if I have an edge on every bet I should just be getting down as much as possible each time but I am hoping for confirmation either way.

Glad to hear the prop betting has been going well for you, I enjoyed reading about your modeling experiences earlier this year.

What's your sample size with the current version of the models you are using? I switched over to a trading position earlier this year and in the past several months I've seen accounts go on pretty impressive runs over the course of a few hundred bets, usually just to give it all back. If I remember correctly guys like Sigs from the Crowdsource Syndicate were using Kelly, but ended up always max betting props because their bankroll and edge was big enough that what the Kelly method would have told them to bet was bigger than the limits anyway. There's plenty of material to be found throughout the internet to guide you in deciding which way to go, but if you aren't sure how to answer that question on your own yet, maybe holding off on the max betting for now is in the best interest of protecting your bankroll.

Just max everything. The idea behind Kelly (whether you're actually using it or not) is to optimize bankroll growth by ensuring you don't overbet relative to your bankroll. It sounds like you're not able to go anywhere near your Kelly stake (totally normal problem for props after a few months for most people) so at that point the question is basically just how to maximize EV, which is to max every prop, whether they're $100 or $1000.

Wow, that's some seriously deep recall of the 'Books' thread on here from a post 4 years ago. {I know you searched on the book title and aren't really cyber-stalking my literary reviews and then memorizing them...I think?]

Definitely a fun read.

G, if you haven't read Ishiguro's 'Never Let Me Go,' I think you would really enjoy it.
