Just wanted to update anyone interested: Bovada paid me +350 for GB to win the NFC #1 seed even though it should have been around -200.

I went to check what we closed it at but my shop didn't offer that prop. Maybe they just didn't catch it, but either way sounds like a nice little score you. I never had problems with Bovada paying out in the past either.

I haven’t sports bet in a very long time. I saw a bunch of promos for Fan Dual and Caesar’s with what looks like good promos for new users.

I only want to take advantage of the promo and maybe bet the money line on the Bills game. If I win, I would withdraw.

I’m disciplined and will be fine trying to take advantage of the promos and go back to just watching the games.

friend of mine who doesn't post anywhere online had an issue with bookmaker that he shared with me that I thought was interesting and curious what you think his best course of action is if anything.

he is betting a bunch of live games this morning and he makes a live wager on a soccer match early in the 1h the score is 0-0 and he takes everton +3/4 vs norwich.

almost immediately after he makes the wager he sees the line elsewhere is everton -1/4 so he realizes bookmaker has a bad line up almost def and instead of going and smashing the bad line for his entire account he goes into live chat to alert an agent to the situation as well as sending an email to support and he asks that the bet either be voided immediately or confirmed that it's a valid line and won't get voided if it wins as he doesn't want to get freerolled.

support refuses to review the wager and says they can't review any pending wagers until the game is over.

he asks to speak to a supervisor and again explains his concern and again they refuse.

meanwhile the line had been changed to everton -1/4 with heavy juice to match what the rest of the market is offering.

there is no book that had everrton as anything better than -1/4 for the entire time the game remained scoreless.

the game ends norwich 2-1 and the ticket is graded as if it is a valid wager and my buddy loses half his wager amount.

he asks for the ticket to be reviewed and they tell him that the wager is valid it was not a bad line.
he asks them how come no other book had that line at any point and they themselves very quickly changed the line from +3/4 to -1/4 (for those unfamiliar with soccer that is a huge difference) and they say that lines change very quickly in live betting and it wasn't a bad line.

so basically there are 2 explanations:

1) the person "reviewing" the wager has no clue about sports betting and is just brushing this off

2) they're flat out angle shooting/freerolling/stealing

I have no idea which it is but can't come up with any other explanation.

the amount he had stolen from him was ~3K.

he isn't a member of any online forms and as far as I know the only way to file a complaint is with SBR and it's a huge pain in the ass as first you have to create an account wait to get approved then post for a while to generate an established identity before you're allowed to start a thread or make a complaint tho I haven't been a member for many years so not positive, but my buddy really doesn't want to deal with all that.

he isn't too concerned with the money but he is pretty pissed on general principal but odds are he does nothing about it.

curious to hear opinions and any advice.

TL/DR cliffs: bookmaker.eu pretty clearly angleshot my buddy and stole 3K from him on a bad line on a live wager they refused to rule on immediately and waited till end of game to review.

Hard to say it's an angleshoot given that we don't know they wouldn't have graded it. They probably would have. I really don't see the book being at fault here tbh.

true there isn't any way to prove they would have voided it however he did say he had a bet voided previously when they said it was a bad line which is why he was so adamant about bringing it to their attention and having it cleared up immediately as he didn't want to get freerolled again.

edit: but ya I didn't think about the fact he really has no way to prove they would have voided it so guess it's just an expensive mistake on his part and nothing he can do.
