a plague from china spread forth across the land. rsigley got infected, almost died, survived, retired from crowdsource syndicate, then came out of retirement again (because what else is there to do?). i was diagnosed with clinical depression as a result of missing four months of baseball and still suffer from it. 5dimes closed shop to americans. caesars entertainment to acquire wiliam hill. now can we get a politcal blogging update?

still retired. but tomg i've started our road trip

got myself a gas car since i'm worried about charging my car. Plus charging you car sucks for long trips. Have to take an hour break every 200 miles and hope there's an open charger. Making my way across the great USA visiting as many casinos as I can until I get bored. i bought a prius so i'm still environmentally conscious. not the plug in one, but just the OG hybrid. Picked up the plates and good to go.

I'm hoping to be out here for a year minimum. Living off the land (aka restaurants which will get me fat because they add a stick of butter to every recipe), resting my head wherever I end up (closest hotel), and just living the American Dream (mid 30s with no kids or wife or purpose to continue going on outside of routine but lots of disposable income that i don't spend on anything due to having no kids or wife or purpose in life).

Today I spent most of the day programming my own card counting tracker. Instead of just paying the money to buy the hundreds that are already available. My idea was if I programmed it I'd learn along the way. And I sorta did. Lets hope I didn't mess something up.

Have you plotted your route yet?

Last week I drove to South Dakota to look for a place to live, been thinking about moving there for a while (aka two weeks). Flew back to Vegas on Fri night to pick up plates and a couple other things. Flew back out really late last night after almost dying.

My plan right now is to work through the Iowa casinos for a couple weeks and head south. Missouri has some casinos but no sports or race betting. That should be fine since I can do that online (and I don't really bet horses in the winter).

Work my way south to Louisiana. Then I figure work my way to Florida for a month in December. Then I'd like to work my way up the east coast so I can be in NJ/PA for the super bowl. There's so many books there to get banned from and I feel like the super bowl would be the best opportunity to do that.

After that I figure go up to Maine, then come back down through Ohio, stop in Michigan, Indiana, and work through the north part of the USA. Come down through Cali (hit some of those border nevada casinos along the way), Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, no idea of Kansas/Nebraska have anything if not then should hit Colorado around June/July-ish. Get back to November around September, do a loop around the border and come back?

Assuming I don't get bored or die. I'd like to visit a lot of race tracks so I'm trying to plan some of the trips around when they have harness racing. I also wanted to do Saratoga during August but I figure I can just fly there since I don't want to hang around the east coast for 8 months.

If anyone wants to meet up and rob me let me know. I bought a GoPro Hero 9 and was thinking about making a vlog but also I don't want to set myself up for future pain with people knowing me.

Not to get to TomG clinically depressed but I'm hoping to do non gambling stuff too like hiking, sight seeing, etc. I dunno if it's corona or just monotony but not really happy the past year or so. I think part of it is the state of sports betting in Vegas with the euro take over. I used to love the variety and just hanging out in casinos. Can't do either and there's two casinos you can hang out now. Circa has 2 seats and Westgate is so packed all the time. Have to stand in line for 30 minutes to place a bet.

It's so boring sitting at home all day in front of a computer clicking my mouse non stop. It sounds stupid but driving to the casino to sit there and click my mouse all day felt like going to work and like a real job. This is just lame. I know all the things you're supposed to do when you work from home. Get dressed. Work in a room isolated from other things, etc. But that doesn't really make it any different. It still sucks.

This sounds like fun. Casino AP was my only source of income for around ten years. I'm sort of in the same boat, for the first time in a very long while I've actually got the urge to go out and play live. There's some decent promos out there too, I'm curious how long you stick with straight counting before moving onto higher margin stuff.

To the degree that I'm able, I'll happily contribute valuable information to this thread related to casino AP as penance for my failure to properly contribute to the Crowdsource Syndicate by holding out on the faceoffs.

Come through West Virginia, lots of mountains and little corona. Also our protests consisted of 12 people holding cardboard signs in front of the capital. There are a few casinos for you to play here with good limits. I would totally do this in WV or Southern PA area. The meetup part that is.

I got banned for card counting for the first time today. It was pretty amazing and a rush. Shout out to Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa. It took 5 days but I popped my cherry. I followed all the instructions and just left without signing anything.

To many more guys. TomG fly out here and we can go to couples counseling to cure our depressions.

Hope you had your disguise on.

Did they keep your chips? That's the worst.

pretty interesting, DefNotRsigley. i myself am on a bit of a road trip at the moment. what with the weird sports schedule this year and a quiet couple of months, it just made sense.

here is a photo of my room for the night. not the best pic; i just snapped it quickly as we moved into the room, before my girlfriend could put makeup and pads and fruits all over the place.

it was the second nicest place in town, $23 per night. i popped for the suite vs. the standard room because this one has a little table where i could set up and bet on golf and football. the whole hotel is almost empty. woman at the desk told me almost everything shut down about a week ago. season is over. i picked this room over the other one because the bengal pattern of the couch and bedsheets reminds me of my old cat (RIP). i was thinking of popping for the #1 hotel in town for a couple days, but it had a big balcony with chaise lounges and was too far from the beach and at $48 per night it all seemed a bit over-the-top. as it turns out there's no sun today anyway so the chaise lounges would be useless.

had a little adventure picking a taxi from the bus station today. we picked the driver who looked less like a serial rapist, and the other driver, who had already been in the queue for the next passenger, became enraged. it seems there is a code among drivers here. each has his own territory and you can only pick drivers from your own area. also, whoever has been waiting longest has priority. the driver we did not pick ran up to our driver and started shouting at him in a language neither i nor my girlfriend understood. it seems they are from the same shithole. he thought that he'd undercut him on price ($7.50 for a 30 minute ride) but in fact they had offered the same price and our decision was made solely based on skin colour. i was a little bit worried it would come to blows but the losing driver was about 5'5" and after a couple minutes of shouting he just kind of wilted and walked away.

what kind of hotels have you been staying at?

What are the best NFL spread podcasts? Not necessarily looking for touts and picks, just good information where I can make my own decisions. WalterFootball is a good listen. What else?

LOL at Walter Cherepinsky. Rob Pizzola does a periscope Sunday mornings at 11 Eastern that's pretty good. Google play has the app.

I’m still around doing my thing. Bout to get engaged. Hockey playoffs were really good for me and football has been good too. Ever since I got my other username banned on here I haven’t been checking really. Glad to hear you guys are still at it.

Congrats on the engagement, I assume yes is a lock?
10-14-2020 , 12:49 PM
Oh it’s a lock, yea. Our 5 year anniversary is this Halloween so I’m gonna do it around then.

Sigs if you’re traveling the NE area, I have some good spots for you to check out. There’s all kind of horse racing places in NH. Manchester poker room in NH has a new sports book I’ve been meaning to check out. I’d check out Foxwoods if you’ve never been. Biggest poker room in the country. Check out New Hampshire sports books when you get close, they’re opening up more soon.

Sadly the epic card-counting days of the early 90s are long gone, I miss them. Raise your bet 10x no problem on a good count.

I worked for a guy who made an fortune in the 70s/80s in LV doing that, they never caught him because he didn't fit the profile. [I.e. non-white] He eventually parlayed that into a job at Moore Capital trading bonds and made a metric asston of money.

We were gonna go count in Russia when they opened casinos but eventually realized we couldn't get out with the money without being murdered.

If you were caught counting and making substantial $ at Binion's in the 80's I'm pretty sure you won't be posting on a forum (or any forum for that matter) for a whole bunch of reasons, including being 6 feet under.
10-15-2020 , 09:14 AM
Lol please. That’s fake movie bs.
10-15-2020 , 01:15 PM
why would anyone do this for a living

it's so tedious and boring. the fun aspect wore off after a week
10-15-2020 , 03:32 PM
Card counting? It does seem awful.
