whether you love him or hate him you have to admit that's a stand-up thing to 6 days before heading to jail. Nice to see a gambler do good things, especially in light of the shooter's background.

Edit: I still applaud him for doing it, of course. But I think in addition to his charitable intent, it's likely he's working an angle here as well. How long until he's up for parole? You think this "anonymous donation" might get mentioned there?
Of course it wasn't anonymous. Walters knew they would recognize him as the contribution + helps his case for Parole down the road like Malachii mentioned.
that's completely fair - I guess my support of it was less on the anonymity side (because as yall pointed out, that could or could not of been the intention all along) but just the timing of doing it relative to going to prison. and it def wouldnt be BW without having some sort of angle in mind.
