Saratoga picks today?? I'm here and already 3 sheets. What is everyone liking? Is there value in launch relaunch (2) in race 1? 2-3-10 box? Or you gotta have soul (5)?

Today's Personal Ensign at Saratoga should be a good race. I am anxious to see if RA can go this distance, and if LAT is the monster i think he can continue to be.

Who the heck is this Bob Baffert guy? Ol BB is just kickin A coast to coast again,no way i thought Richard's Kid takes the Pacific again and boom!

RA did not lose today. Borel gave her a bone head ride. What was he thinking? Getting hooked up in a speed duel when stretching out a horse in distance is just plain nuts!

FT i respect your opinion, and glad to see you posting, but i dont totally agree here. Im not trying to defend CB's ride, but this is exactly how RA runs. This is exactly how she went 8-8 last year in a HOTY season. I am bad with race names, but can see them in my head,i only remember 1 time where she laid off the lead, but she made a huge move before the far turn and just crushed the field, believe it was Monmouth, maybe Belmont, but thats the only time i recall.

I thought RA ran her eyeballs out myself, she kicked LAT's butt with out a doubt, and if the race is 1 1/8th its hers. This was her 1st time at the added distance, and FT if your point is this being the added distance,i understand it,but refer to what i said earlier.

I am interested to see what the connections of RA decide to do. By no means has or will she hurt her value at a later date if they do decide to run her again. She was HOTY,the connections will get paid on that itself in breeding if they so choose that route. IMO,RA is still a Grade 1 caliber horse, but not at the 1 1/4 distance. This means she will NEVER face Zenyatta, and imo,NEVER wanted to in the 1st place.

This is why Zenyatta is such such such a special animal, she took the best the world had to offer against her on the biggest stage and put a memory in our heads and hearts i know i will never forget! Oh ya,the year before she won the Lady's Classic.

In the end who loses here? We all do as horse fans! Sad that both animals in their prime couldnt meet in a race, seems so simple on paper doesnt it?

I agree with all of this. I still think Calvin blew it. Get Calvin out of Kentucky and he does silly things.

LOL, I'm around, just busy. I moved over the weekend. (only around the block but, still a PITA)

I was too busy to handicap the pick six but, I threw $30 into the twinspires players pool. They sold $60k in shares and made $60k in tickets.

They were one of the 5 winning tickets and had 5 of 6 twelve times. The post-tax payout was $313k. So for my $30, I get back ~$150.

Yeah, it was the smoothest move yet, and I've moved 5 times in the past 6 years!

Friday night's pick six pool should eclipse $3M, imo.

I'll be casting my net into the water fo' sho'.

more unsavoury business in British horse racing. Horse was called "am i blue"

Quote:
THE BHA is to investigate the background to an almighty gamble landed by an apparently out-of-form horse at Hereford yesterday after aneyecatching late jockey change left the local stewards taking no action. A caustic jeer of disbelief went up from the crowd when it was announced that no formal stewards' inquiry would be called after a hurdler tailed off on its two latest starts landed a touch from 25-1 to 5-1 by a stunning 19 lengths under Richard Johnson. Shortly before racing, Johnson was asked by owner-trainer Delyth Thomas to replace her5lb conditional rider Dean Coleman on Am I Blue in the 2m4f handicap hurdle. Earlier, Coleman had telephoned the course and spoken to the declarations clerk who in turn informed clerk of the scales Gavin Cope that the jockey was unable to ride because he had been to the dentist and was feeling unwell. Later Coleman was seen at the races, leaning over the rails in the winner's enclosure as Johnson returned on Am I Blue after they had made all the running, easing down before the line.

The filly had been tailed off, 88 lengths behind the winning horse at Worcester 15 days earlier, and prior to that had been beaten 75 lengths at Newton Abbot at the beginning of last month. Available at 25-1 in the morning, she opened at 15-2 on-course and her odds dropped to 9-2 before easing to 5-1.

"there was no official inquiry. He said: "Don't the stewards monitor betting moves? The form, or lack of it, was there for everyone to see. They are making us punters look proper idiots. We need answers when things like this happen."
this is just another in a long line of incidents that makes racing look bent as a nine bob note.

Marty that is a sham to say the least, and i have spent all week trying to figure out this exchange betting,i figure i will need a punter to explain it all to me correctly, but this is 1 problem i can see from it right here. I know CA is going to have exchange betting in 2 years by reading the legislation coming out of CA.

I am still mad about yesterdays Del Mar card,i just cant figure it out,and i have figured it out at the same time if that makes sense. I got to the 7th and being mad and talking to myself (think all cappers do this) i said im going to throw $10 W bet on Haimish Hy.and i did,and then said to myself "so we wager angry now" breaking my own rules, and ofcorse it paid off, you can see i also included this horse in my 3 picks selection from yesterday,i almost singled this one but for different reasons than i made the $10 bet. I dont like the poker reference to horses, but one Sherman horse was a front runner, the other Sherman (father) horse was a closer and 31-1.

I would say this for Del Mar cappers, dont even look at the ML at all!!! John White has as much a clue as anyone else right now,and i think he is assigning ML by the same method as when it comes the "shakes" for more than 1 claim in a race for a horse,or simpler explained like playing cutthroat at pool. Just cap,and dont even worry about getting a price, large carry you will get one,and make your ticket. There has been so many horses this past week win that i just cant explain, its not in the PP's,on video,or even spoken about by clockers as to having a chance, but boom, and im +ev this meet, just frustrated.

I will throw $100 today in the Twinspires players pool, and try to come up with my own PK6 ticket as well.
