Off the wire...Eskendereya retired!

Bob Baffert looking to throw Gomez off of Lookin At Lucky for 2 straight piss poor rides. Baffert is probally the closest to my own personality of any horseman, hes just a straight shooter and stand up guy,and GoGo is my fav jockey, but he has done a horsecrap job the last couple of rides for BB,so look for Garcia to get the mount if LAL goes to Pimlico.

Good Luck tonight Kev,last Friday i watch before i play the night cards at Hollywood, then Del Mar.

How much are you willing to spend?

There are some sites that sell beautiful lithographs of champion horses but, they can be pricey.

Smaller scale gifts can be Sharpies (for marking up the form) or champion racehorse baseball caps or glassware. My grandfather RIP worked for the NYRA and I had gotten him various shirts, sweaters and a Secretariat glassware set.

kevroc, thanks for the ideas. was thinking ~$100, but if i get my brothers in prob $300. does anyone get DRF delivered daily? i couldnt find info on it. maybe ill just get a gift card to the liquor store where he gets his.

sorry if its been discussed, but are there any handicapping/data sites that are widely used? prob differs from person to person

Rafdogg...As far as i know DRF does not deliver to say a personal residence,if you want the DRF track addition,it can be purchased online at DRF.com,they often have specials such as the upcoming Del Mar/Saratoga special which when purchased this way can bring each PP down to about $1,over the daily purchase price of $2.95.....As for your next question,it is a personal pref for sure,i know i like the traditional PP's from DRF,where i believe Kev uses Equibase, there is also Brisnet, and if you play thru Youbet,or Twinspires they will allow you to download free PP's for the day as long as you make a min wager of $2 on the track you selected. Kev gives great advice as always also,my kids get me hats from horsehats.com as gifts, and i enjoy getting them always.

Hey Honch, I love the formulator for DRF but, the trouble is that when I am home, I don't have much time to handicap. So I do most of my handicapping at work.. so I print out the equibase premium pps. DRF is blocked at work. In a perfect world, I'd handicap with formulator. It is incredibly handy. I love the feature to right-click and "hide" a horse. Helps you eliminate runners in pick sixes and pick fours.. also the hyperlinks you click the race date and see a replay of the race. So useful for trouble trips.

Also, add "Peanut Butter Boy" to your horses to watch list.

He ran for the first time at hollywood the other day and was close to a hot pace, backed off and came again. Finished like 4th or 5th i think but, the gallop out really caught my eye.. he almost clipped heels after the wire.. he was sooo keyed up.
