I hope arrogate races in classic. Easy fade decision for me and you know he will get a lot of money. Not question his best is better than any horse but I feel his career is tailing off and will be retired soon. Great horse no question but seems like he has stalled after Dubai.

I like gun runner but not a fan of betting chalk in such a tight race. I'm pumped to possibly see whitmore in g1 sprint. Hope he gets a lot of pace to run into.

Arrogate also hates that surface at Del Mar, like many horses do. Have a feeling this isn't going to be a good Breeders Cup for the top horses.

Posted this about a month ago and i could be wrong wont be 1st time but i do believe still no way Arrogate goes in the BCC. BB already setting the story with his saying his works looked brilliant and moving the right way etc...Then today the J'mont gets the stud after BCC...Just think the story continues until BC week and they find a shin bruise or he spikes a fever IMO and never sees the Del Mar track. I hope i am wrong but red flags abound.

Thought i saw a horse running with 5 legs at Del Mar....Viagra? R U Kidding me? You have horses at GP testing positive for cocaine and now viagra at DelMar...Guess horses are more like us than i ever thought

Guess the word is boycott Keeneland and i have NEVER been a follower of anything so i will pretend i came up with this idea and participate myself.

wow its been a long time. hope the room is doing good and winners are being hit. Honcho I hope your doing as best as can be done. haven't been playing as much lately but have been following and ready to go to another so cal breeders cup.
this year looks to be a lot more value than in years past for a lot more races. the classic has some great horses with great times that will make that race interesting ( arrogate trying to clean his sd mess up. gun runner (Geroux my man from day 1 ) looking for revenge and that BIG WIN AGAINST THE BIG BOYZ. collected ran a fast 2 minutes even for pacific classic. plus west coast and bafferts 4th and 5th staters.

value will also be in main turf races some of our best fillies will go against the boyz for eclipse awards. the mile will be very competitive ( mor spirit will be tough)

so on and so forth. more talk the week before. I just hope this room stays alive and pony talk never dries up. take care

Well look here SGV itt...missed ya man where the hell have ya been? I hope well! The HRT not going anywhere too many solid people itt who post and keep it strong.

Doing alright man i always appreciate when you ask...Fade the 3 i post and avoid liposarcoma best advice i have today Still get sick daily but you know at least i have something to do everyday I also get after it each day because some have it worse.

BC can not come soon enough and GR just to me right now is in form has been in form and seems to be just getting more mature and confident each out and 4 shoes or 5 i think GR by my eye is the one to beat if you can.

Great to see your post SGV keep the HRT in sight with your opinions my friend.

Lost a couple of real grinders in Effinex and Irap. Ill take West Coast in the Classic. Love Practical Joke and Mor Spirit but 2 turns for PJ and MS campaign leaving me with doubt. Hoping Dallas Stewart gets in done in the Distaff.

Have the xbtv watching the sun peek up over the big rocks they have in the background there at SA and Byk on radio. LA today 107 and wind 15-25 mph...i think that covers the weather i remember from Vegas everyday i lived there.

Ready for BC and getting after it. Working this year from inside out meaning starting with PK6 and moving out to my ACB wagers.

GR looked effortless by my eye working a bullet in 1:11 if i remember right yesterday but moved like he had ice skates on very smooth and professional.

WC is the BB horse that will challenge imo.

Rough week indeed APH Irap was the blue collar winner and grinder is a good word also Effinex who i remember prickly being on a year or so back was a little unpredictable but could run them off their feet when right.

BC fever

Thought i would throw the thread a reminder that DRF has a free tourney today to Q into a larger Qualifier if anyone is interested in some mid week play.

Need to be placed in a horse player home in a warmer environment Holy Cow did the weather catch up to the calendar here.

Ron Paolucci is in the right on this one imo and can not believe the decision to be honest let alone the explanation. Taking a chance in life is always the best move.

Let alone last summer when i believe the stewards ruled on the Seinfeld clause where you already said spite instead he used the word rabbit and that was enough to not get accepted which in this sport and the examples i could bring up this is their issue? LoL!!!

RP i know you were just using as an example and all and grown man say what you want i would not of used anybody by name i would of maybe just said top trainers everyone knows who they are.

Got to be able to accept entry if the conditions are met BC time or not and adjust your rules if you so choose next year BC but RP is def in the right on this one imo by going by just the rules not opinion of the person which some do not seem to be able to seperate. I do not know RP myself but the times i have heard him on Byk etc he seemed like a straight up guy to me.

Well it's been a long wait but it's that time again. The Breeders Cup is the greatest thing in wagering. This time next week we will know the Distaff winner and be writing and rewriting sequences of picks for Classic Day.
May like Elate a bit in the Distaff, Mr. Mott going for #6 and if an Ortiz is up 2 for 24 in BC races has to give at some point. The other girls are big time runners though P Woods has an eye popping A game and Abel has BB nuff said. FU the two races she looked so fantastic winning this year were at CD and Sar with Much longer stretch runs than DMR loved her in those but she will have to be kept close or the fractions will need to be blistering. SWind being held to a long layoff is most perplexing but he saw what he wanted in the last and held to train this long. Tough race to single anyway you slice it.
BC 17 looks to be an epic 2 days of tough decisions and great races.

Have not looked at PPs yet but are there significantly more horses coming into the BC with long layoffs? Any thoughts on specific "fresh" horses? Heading to Vegas for a few nights later today. I heard William Hill opened KY Derby 2018 with the big 2 year old at 20-1. I think I read this about 3 days ago but cannot find any updates. Wynn price is 12-1. Find out soon enough. Anything to be made of PJ also being entered in the sprint? What is the reason for that? I assume he definitely goes in the Dirt Mile, correct? Will Arrogate be the real value in the Classic?

Cross entering is common for big stakes days/weekends. There are multi horses entered for coinciding races like sprints/miles dirt/turf combo's. Entries are paid/submitted much in advance for such a scenario. Deadline choice is then made.
I perceive of a futures favorite Derby bet as very poor value but AP and the Nyquist have stuffed those words. The Ruis trained horse looks fantastic but from a futures standpoint looking elsewhere to me is better value. A quick search of Sire's and trainers you like may pay a bunch next May. For a big bet yet the Ruis horse looks the part but for funzies dunno.

Would like PJ more in the mile than the Sprint.
Played it Yest Honcho. 2 for 6 one of those two was the $49 second leg. The other Chad is always a kick in the nuts...
Well let's see Who will win the Classic? The horse I find the most interesting is Diversify. His Gold Cup he came to break and nobody home, 47+ and come home in sub 2:01. He was really moving. Gunnevera passed everybody but WC last out. Unfortunately everybody isn't in the race but WC is, $Mike in a different gate than WC. Every horse has a right to improve but he will have to make a big jump to reach here. Could happen I guess.
Churchill said "Americans Always do the right thing, but only after they've tried everything else". When ever I see a Euro turfer entered in the Classic I think of Sakhee and hear Durkin's timeless call. It isn't timeless without Sakhee running eyeballs out in a brave effort to try and go le Arc-Classic. Almost Sakhee almost.
I don't buy this big A doesn't like the surface at DMR business. A problem with the surface results in a near miss not A's non effort two back. He moved up and galloped out last race and his last work looked better.
The Breeders Cup says 90% of the 187 horses will be tested. Whoever thought of that should get a raise and a job at the Olympics and the Tour de France. So if you got surprise random tested your last two efforts do you get a receipt and go to the back of the line?
Winning B2B Classics bring your own narrative otherwise the what would NBC write to talk about for all that airtime before and after each race. Whatever happens hope you have it and enjoy.

Sadler 0-26 dating back to the 80's in BC, woof.
Kent D. at DMR swing the barn door and spike one or two?
O'Neill? Hollendorfer?
The euro opting for a piece of Bolt D first on dirt must be doing well.
Fort Larned has one Blonde Bomber. Jeez time flies.

Honcho, i've done well tailing your Melbourne Cup picks the last 3 years, you've given me the winner 2 of the last 3 and nailed a box trifecta with thread wisdom last year. Less than a week away now so i'm back for my once-a-year post in the horse racing thread.

Who's your Melb cup pick this year and which 5-6 horses would you take for the box trifecta? Anyone else think there's value anywhere? It's the only horse race I bet on each year so i'd rather go with someone who knows what they're doing's pick.

Hope you're all crushing it!

Swoop appreciate you saying and i got the German bred for you a couple years back and helped some last year but there was another OZ capper who had a brilliant write up itt last year that crushed it. I will for sure be capping the race that stops a nation but i am a day of capper when it comes to PP's and video work so check back day of my man and i will have an opinion up for you.

Unique opps for the horse player this week. BC and all BC offers BUT also the cancelled Belmont closing day PK6 carry and Mandatory payout are for this Friday opening day at the Big A also. Free tournament today as well on DRF to Q into a bigger if you like also.

Almost there fellas
