Very valid points zoobird. Thanks for your insight. I think Zenyatta racing on the turf would be amazing. Coming back and winning some big races against better competition could propel her legacy even further. I'm just worried about that small chance that she loses early in a tune up and doesn't recapture her form. Doubtful, but that's all I was thinking of.

By the way, I kind of like aikenite to contend this saturday.

I was wondering about the talk of Santa Anita going back to dirt. Was this stated in an article somewhere, if so does anyone have the link or web site. I would like to forward it to my dad and g-pa, they love playing the horses and would be very interested to hear this news.

Here's a link: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...ater-this-year

They're definitely replacing the surface.

My personal opinion: no way on earth they try a third synthetic surface. It will be dirt.

Been watching some of the coverage of the DRF National Handicapping Championship. I am developing a deep crush on Jill Byrne. She is so elegant and quite a knowledgeable horsewoman. Perhaps I will marry her if I can find time.

Yup, I saw that on the S.A. website. I'll be down for it. I caught Gabby's Golden Gal on sunday at 11:1. That girl has been so good to me. But, dropped a little bit at TuP today.

Just getting my feet wet for 2010. Let's take down the P6 wednesday!

She is not drop dead gorgeous but, she is cute as a button and knowledgable.

Nancy Yuri is another one that is cute but, is way hotter because she knows the game (and has said Kevroc on tv) lol

Anyway.. here is the pick six ticket... Santa Anita Feb 3rd

3) 1
4) 2
5) 1-2-5-9
6) 4-5-6-8
7) 2-3-4-5
8) 6

$128

Big announcement supposed to be coming from Oaklawn Park tomorrow regarding a potential RA-Z matchup. Not totally clear yet, but it sounds like both camps may have actually agreed to run in the Apple Blossom, although that's slightly surprising considing RA just had her first breeze off a long layoff.

Is there an online book that takes pick 6 wagers, or is the OTB my only option?

Shame on the first two, but at least you hit the P4 to make a little back. Much better than the last time we got beaten up 8 times in a row or whatever.

(although my P4 would have been a touch cheaper )

Had fun looking it over again, any time you sit down with a card, holla.

Yea Kev, thanks for sharing. That first leg was a good sweat, too bad we lost in a photo. I don't know a thing about horses but love to make a few small wagers now and then. Being able to tail your card makes me feel like I am not just throwing my $ away.

Thx for the HU M.Honcho. YouBet.com is offering $20 freeplay without deposit, for any other noobs without an account already.

thanks, those two legs hurt.. 4 winners and 2 seconds.

I'm playing a late pick four today..

5) 1-2-4-6
6) 6
7) 2-3-6-8
8) 2-5-6-7-9

Also, $2 win each on 7 & 8 in the 5th.

Total $84 (YTD -$128)

If alive after the 5th, I will put $20 to win on the #8 in the 6th if 4:1 or better with 1 MTP, if not then I'll be playing a triple with the 8 on top.

Stay tuned

Yeah, a little too much pressure on the backside or else she steals it.

Silvio Martinez trains (or at least used to) at Los Alamitos in the ultra quick sprints. This is as low level maiden claiming as it gets and I thought any filly with an ounce of speed could steal it. (i also threw $2 each on the outside horses, in case speed killed each other and a clear path prevailed)

I need the favorite in the next leg, so 42:1 on top would have been so sweet.

Oh well, better than losing...

If the #8 is 4:1 or better with 1 MTP, I'm throwing $20 on him. (currently 7/2)

If not.. $1 triple key 8 over 2-3-5-6-7 ($20)

nah, i never play supers.. i play super hi-fives if the carryover reaches six figures though..

Here are the will pays for my live runners..

2) 1068
5) 183
6) 837
7) 36871
9) 2337

Come on Joy Scott one time!!

Imagine what these would look like if the 42:1 shot held!?!?!

EDIT: BOOM goes the dynamite.. 23:1 bomb crushes my soul.

YTD posted plays (-232)

You make money in this game via windfalls.. you can tear up alot of tickets until you snag a big one.

Yeah man.. just gettin' in the groove.

Hopefully nail down a nice one this weekend!

I wish all SoCal tracks had friday night racing though, I love Hollywood park in the spring for that reason. First post 10pm EST, so awesome.
