jk poker where is swipe? when does he plan on a return? is he such a beast to u that u feel hes gonna come off a 4 month layoff to make first start in a grade 1 or 2 race and just destroy others to get first or second and earn enough points to be in the derby. I hope he plans on running at sunland then because it looks like races are filling up fast. he must be the next bodiemiester or AP because he sure has missed some time and the others whom took their rest after November are more far ahead already. baffert already has another that looked good around two turns so one goes to oaklawn and the other stays in so cal. its march tomorrow. you have to already be freshend have your 5/6 works and have a plan. sunland turfway im guessing

I'm not saying swipe will win. Just think he could offer solid value as a longer shot. He has 12 points so far and will prolly need to get to 20 which is one top 3 or 4 finish in another derby prep. He might not make the field due to not enough prep races but honestly I think 1 prep race could be enough especially if he looks good in it. He just got back on the work tab I believe due to an injury after the bc juvenile. Btw I still think songbird should run in the derby. I mean I guess it's easier for owners if she just dominates the Oaks races however I feel derby horses don't come around often enough to not take the shot on her running the derby. They should enter her in Santa Anita derby and at least see if she can win that or finish 2-3? I couldn't pass up a derby entry with a horse that has looked so classy. Feel she will go off around 3/5 or 4/5 in Kentucky oaks though.

I would leave Songbird in with the fillies for a couple of reasons. First, the Fall of the year, later on in New York is where the champion grade 3 year old fillies are truly expected to perform the very best, perhaps agsinst older too. It's a lot easier to keep a 3 year old in winning form against easier. I just keep her in with her own.

Secondly, the fillies, even though they know their job on the track, still, they are a little harder than the boys to keep focused when they start cycling in heat in the Spring right when the weather starts to warm. They get sore, crampy, mean, go off feed, sometimes swelling you can't figure out what is is.

As for Swipe, he could still make an allowance, ship to Oaklawn for the Arkansas derby.....but time is not looking on his side. Maybe just go ahead and point him for the Belmont at this point. It's too bad the injury. The more competition, the better it is for everyone, betters, tv, the tracks.

THEY SHIPPED 3BBB off the track, he is out at the farm grazing on some early Kentucky Blue Grass.

Used to call this guy Hong Kong Fuey for talking all that Singapore racing smack in here and then saw his twitter handle this morning and got a good laugh. I am horrible about twitter because i check Bob Ike to see which horses are stuck then the weather (55 degrees he says ) then i get after it.

I am going to have a big year fellas tourney and tote and going to have a blast doing it only way i see it happening and it starts this week. Prepared for success finally tour card renewed and ready to get after it.

Horses name was Mo Green and was the #4 in the 8th at GP on Sat at 1 1/16 that was the 1ster that hit for a nice price out of Uncle Mo that caught my eye think i said it was 4th race.

I cant believe that I'm saying this but I'm not even interested in the preps to much this year. I do care, I will keep up on it and since I'm playing the derby dollars contest I will handicap but the main event is april 2 and I cant wait. my pick nyquist will be a 5 for 5 multiple stakes winning underdog. and whom ever loses as long as they show something will get a rematch a month after that. I'm also in anticipation and might go to stateline to already put in the oaks/derby double because this year will have great main events with Sophia vs songbird. yes there is other good horses but this is really something that should be gaining more hype then its getting. it also puts brother vs brother as far as breeding rights way down the line.

I've learned that you've got some really good stuff to share, only it's like learning to read code. But I know a good racetracker when I see one.

LoL...SGV has his own language for sure but as you said great info included always and i was fortunate enough to get a black friday deal on my SGV rosetta stone Good grasp of jock's and feel for a race SGV does.

Took 50th out of 150 in TS Q for KDBC led at half way point then could not connect. I took what it was giving with some 9/2's but missed on the races with prices. I was very satisfied with my breakdown of the card and read it correct and played it correct i just missed out on the price races. Taking some real positives out of it after such a long layoff and 1st tourney of the year. Will try 1 other Q next week then the superQ to try and get an extra entry which is an extra bonus.

Feels like a SA day!

Take a pass on the race and save yourself from putting that nasty food in you.

Thinking on playing the late pk 4 at santa anita today. Been noticing alot of money moves to mike smith because of whom he is to the casual player but have been noticing he has been losing alot with morning line faviortes. If his mount is not a monster to the feild hes gonna be a play against in a lot of spots. Could be owners request not to dig into a horse but hes not putting in alot of work down the stretch.

I'm playing the twinspires promo for 25k kd bet. No idea where to go in Gotham. Think there are 3-4 horses that could win and the pace scenario is hard to figure out. Leaning away from conquest big e though as I think aqueduct favors early speed and or pace pressers.

wow. just seen the replay of the gotham. I used the 3 advenst. what a ****in horrible ride. jockey fights him the whole first half. chocking him. then jock thinks he has to sit on shagafs hip like he was gonna make a big move past him after he held him first half. bad bad ride. I will use this horse again with a new jock. post might not matter but this horse looks like he can run like the form showed. respect to the winner. bad bad ride for the 3

Valuable filly to be putting into a 20 horse field. Preakness maybe.

What? Now this is just me here but no damn way man for a buck or 10 million no one remembers the preakness unless you win the prior and usually the latter to go with it...Only get so many chances in life and this is one of them and the play is an aggressive one imo. Watching the preps so far SHE stands out by my eye. This is a cruel sob of a game and the chances not took in life will eat at your soul.

I agree I'd do it, just throwing out there from their prospective. The owners have already said no way they are going to the Oaks. Ala Rachel A seems at least some glory. Not much of a Preakness fan myself.
How much more valuable would you say she would be with a derby win? Her AP and Tapit foals are already gonna bring all the money anyway.

People have ruled out Greenpointcrusader as a Derby contender, but I for one believe in this horse and trust me when I tell you you haven't seen the last of him.

oh yeah (in my macho man voice lol) florent geroux now named for untappable. and if things go his way he will get to ride in Dubai on Mongolian Saturday. now I don't care where his agent has him full time as long as he gets out of town every other weekend to ride stakes races at different tracks. he seems to be number one rider for mr. cox mr. case and getting in good with winchell. good groups to be with. keep them coming geroux
