R8 at Saratoga. #3 Unbridled Juan should be the favorite but #1 Day of Fury isnt that much slower. i'll take the odds here. just needs to avoid early battle with #6. grab lead and set pace or back off #6 and let him go. 8/1 with 17MTP.

#3 finished second, #1 off the board. was maybe a little rank early, but not much excuse with that pace. just tapped out in the stretch. :-(

So happy to see Maschonostic lose terrible connections. Feel bad that nobody can figure out how to get Kobe's Back to get out of the gate. That horse has KICK!

Was in a discussion about the absolute odds of the AP triple. Ended with he was either about a 1 in 600,000 or 1.2 million shot.
The logic was about 35,000 (declining average)horses a year since 1950, divided by the 4 since triple winners or 35K horses since 1978. I said he is a 1.2 shot and the clock starts new every time it gets hit.

Are you talking about the odds from the time of his birth before he began training?

Ah I guess it's dumb was just convo over beers. How many horses there have been to find the one gem. Odds of a meteor type of thing. Yeah kinda total foals year after year over all that time.
Yeah not so much specific to him, once it was known he was fast. Him going sun. brought it up.

No but did see it on pokerscout. CDI purchased Big Fish games about 18 months back trying to get their foot in the door with a platform and an existing player base, but no place to legally operate yet and i do not think CDI gives a chit where it is at but they are looking to get a roi on that purchase asap and they know the way of the horse is obsolete.

Problem is now you have to play politics and everyone has their hand out or wants a hand in so it really wont matter if they get it up and running legal or not because once it is under that kind of control what is the point?

Capping Toga PK6 carry not sure i am playing or not.

Betting question:

If I play a .10 superfecta and somehow I'm the only person who has the winning combo, do I scoop the whole pool or do I only get a tenth of the pool? Also, what would happen to the rest of the pool?

Most times when you see payouts for superfectas you'll see an absurd $1 or $2 payout like $100,000 then you'll look at the pool and only $10K was in the entire pool. So if you were the only one to hit it you would take down whatever was bet into it. But since you're talking about tracks that take .10 nominations... the chances of a single winning ticket are very unlikely.

Saratoga Race 2: 6

Betting the 6 here Conquest Nitro. Love horses going from poly to dirt. Like the workout back on 7/24. Think it's great value.

Just an outstanding performance today by The Big Beast in the 6F(dirt) $350k G1. Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap at the Spa.

The trouble started when he was factious loading into the gate, next he found himself uncharacteristically near the early pace, and after taking the lead in mid-stretch, jockey John Velasquez, who lost his whip somewhere in the race, started hitting The Big Beast left handed with his spare goggles.

He eventually lost in a head bob to Rock Fall in a final time 108 3/5.

The Big Beast will surely be coming back for the Forego Handicap at 7f (dirt) Aug 29 and hopefully he will find some better racing luck.Today was a clear case of Murphy's law.

American pharaoh is going off prolly around 1/9 at the Haskell. Hmm seems like taking a shot against him offers insane value. Think competitive edge at 20-1 is a nice bet. Not playing this but if I was no way I would touch AP at 1/9.

AP just one smooth sob...Cucumbers and the other side of pillows say there is no one cooler than AP
