Fairmount Park R2: #1 is going to be favorite here, but is the only early speed in the field. gate to wires hitting at 35% @ 6f. opened up by 8 at 1st call and couldnt hold on last time. change of jockey hopefully settles the horse better. even so last race speed figure is tops despite running off. 4/5 with 7MTP

R11 @ Canterbury

Going to go with #3 Beahereincourt

#1 is a really bad favorite especially at 4/5.

#3 is off a long layoff but is in a good barn and i think spotted here looking for a win, not just to get a race in and see where theyre at. solid workouts for this level. at 7/2 - 4/1 worth a look.

#3 ran 3rd kind of 1 paced but not bad. #1 ran 2nd at 1/5 had the wrong one oh well on to the next 1.

After an absolutely insane 25.1 first quarter he lost to the second best horse sitting in the pocket in 1.48 flat. My post still stands as likely correct.

I know Montrell has said when this horse is into the bit he just let's him go, but the trip got him beat. Were they trying to set a world record or something?

Disclaimer: I am usually not fond of front end dead speedsters.

okay horse racing newb here but just started messing around betting $1 trifectas and superfectas to mess around on bovada here and there and watch the live stream.

My question is I just bet $1 on the superfecta for a race and only got the first 2 horses right in my bet and still somehow won the bet? Can someone please explain this? The horse that got second was a 50-1 odds...is that the reason? Thanks in advance for answering a newbs question

Did the superfecta pay off list the winning ticket as something like 2-4-all-all? Especially if you are playing at a track with small pools this will happen. Nobody had better than the first two places and all tickets that had the first two split the pool.

^yes it was a small pool and showed my first two horses plus x/x so that seems to be what happened. Thought I lost and boom got paid out $171 off $1

Believe i remember Tom Quigley touting this #7 horse in the last was going to win by 30 miles, actually he said from Michelle Yu's home to the track...Seems like a decent enough guy but i have saw his twitter and his show and he may love horse racing and can look strange calm holding a fake smile on cam on his show but he just is not a good capper.

Mr S your explanation was exactly as i have stated several times here...I do not ever cap a race wrong, but sometimes the damn horse has a mind of their own and does what it wants and makes me look silly

hey honcho thanks for the comparison to the crappy tv picker. thats what you want to hear. :-)

SA R2:

Ex 4 w/1-2-5
Ex 1-2-5 w/4

1 & 5 are worth taking a flyer on at a price in their 2nd career starts. fading 7, thought his last was pretty terrible but he figures to take some action. 2 is potential key but also a potential fade. he's 0 for 8 and not shown much improvement but back to a mile and figures fit vs this group. never on the board in 5 tries on turf. i'll use him but dont love it and not going to key. 4 has benefited from good pace in their 2 tries and might not get that here but figures fit and should be better price than 2 & 7.

good luck all have fun today

Was not my intention on purpose and i am sure you would never tell the betting public the horse would win by 30 miles either...We share the same opinion of his capping i see.

i'm just joking with you honcho i knew you didnt mean it like that. although given how june has gone that might not be too far off.

SA R6:
WP #11 Lamaan 15/1 ML

Simon Callaghan is a decent grass trainer. Victor Espinoza in the irons. 2nd lifetime start. finished 10/12 in 1st start but steadied early and had to check briefly and angle out midstretch but made up good ground after that to finish beaten 5 1/4. pace not real favorable last time, i think it will be a bit better today. speed fig not too far off and with a better trip, better positioning, and a little improvement over the month in between races, has a chance at a good price. these are the type of horses i look for to hit at a price.

Hit the Belmont pick 5 today for stacks and stacks... LOL J/K... But I will say that I'm probably one of not many to actually turn a profit on the wager today.

It paid a meager $83...

Nice poke there B3... Playing a Honcho priced PK5 i like it Though with you i thought there would be 20 tickets lined up. Take the profit to the next and get after it again.

Taking a look at Belmont PK6 today, but have been laying low till Del Mar and fading the Tigers to $$ till then.

Good racing today at Belmont hope the showers hold off. Just looking at the entries and going off memory i have not looked at PP's yet and starting in the 1st leg of the PK6 sequence i like Irish Jasper...I have hit this horse its last 2 out once in a tourney and last i believe was PIM and sat off front runners and made a strong move to win easy.

Looks like TR is 9/5 ML coming back and shipping you can have him at that price. I will check for value in this race elsewhere.

Got Bolo on the west coast plane that dragged a few to the east this weekend and a solid contender no doubt here but Force the Pass Granny's Kitten good horses also. Spreading here not to bad an idea imo.

Had Tonalist as my single his last out and went 3/4 on the PK4 because of 2nd place finish i remember but i really like Coach Inge here and have caught this horse its last 2 out as well. It is a horse on its game and shows a solid performance each out imo for TP. Effinex i have no idea why a horse with that kind of exp did what it did last out as well if i remember that horse bolted and was rank throughout.

Lady Eli and forget about it for a lot of people i am sure and no reason to talk you off that, but Spanish Queen should have a say in this as well. I think Lady ZuZu is to big a ML here imo also.

Like PZ here a lot and think this will be my single.

Have a great 4th and best of luck to all itt and their plays.

Any horses i mentioned scratched sorry like i said just going off memory not looked at PP's.
