Lol thats too funny... Being that the bet came from isle of man & that it totalized on the last click, this bettor had to have connections. It has me wondering. Being that its not a heavily populated place, whoever placed that bet there, placed it in that location for a reason. Gotta b some1 from the uk or ireland imo. Why get down there though? Special rebate with this adw, or tax breaks in IOM? I remember when 10k win bets were being made a few yrs ago on the last click @ hollywood & that made the front page of the form & was investigated heavily till they found out it was a legit degen better in the sportsbook n vegas. . Drf needs to figure this story out & get more answers imo. Milly win bets are like fairytale stories.

Biggest suprise at this point-
Cal/Chrome-
Winning next losing Bel?
Winning all 3?
Losing next, running Bel. and winning?
Lose next two?
Other?

Id say the Kderby comes off more as let down of jock tactics to the pace as opposed the final time and margin. No question chrome had a firm hold on win from top of the lane and jock is standing in the irons ahead of the wire. Deduct a .66?

I dont believe in putting people down or making fun of them, but I encourage everybody to watch the replay of Race1 today @Belterra Park (formerly river downs), & listen to this poor announcer butcher this lil maiden race. Worst race call ive ever had to listen to that was called by an actual announcer.... Feel sorry for the guy tbh.

I wish. 1 day of normal racing there is bigger than our derby day pools.

Ive got a legit recommendation for churchill downs on derby day. Being that the Kentucky Derby is the most analyzed race of the year, CD should run a 1m1/4 Allowance/OptionalClm race as 1 of the races that are run post derby. Race12 or Race13. That way, the figures given to the derby runners can be equated better by comparing to another 1m1/4 race run the same day... Would not b hard to get enough horses, so many owners would jump at the chance to run on the derby card even its that long of a race. Jus look at oaklawn, they always get a full field for there "Trails End" 1m3/4's race they run as the last race on closing day. So surely CD could implement this. What u guys think??

Sounds like a good idea to me.

It does look like CC is going to be a big favorite in the Preakness. It's tempting to bet him now at -150ish. That wager type has action even if he doesn't run, and who knows what the weather will be like on race day, so I am holding off for now. I am pretty sure that line is going to keep getting bigger as May 17th approaches though. Other than Social Inclusion turning out to be a star, I can't see any of those other horses beating CC.

Is Palace Malice bridge jump material on Sunday?

Tbh, i would never bridge jump on any horse. Its a losing proposition. Playing the other side, now thats a dif story. Anytime i see a substantial bridge jumper, i play the next 2 logical horses on paper (other than the horse being bridge jumped on) & bet them to Show. I usually always have at least 1 of the 2 hit the board & bcos of proportional WPSpool rules at most tracks now, it still pays close to $4 to show(u break even), even if the chalk hits the board, & sometimes both ur horses hit the board & u make a few $'s & sometimes the chalk runs a dud & u get $20-$100 for ur $2 Show bet.
If you lose just 1 bridge jump bet, you have to win 20 bridge jump bets in a row jus to break even!!!! No than you (if ur betting the same amount each bet)

Shatin is sat night in US and the valley is wed morning here so thats night racing there.

If the ticket cashes more than 95.24% of the time, it's not a losing proposition.

Looks like this is a four race field though. That means they will only be taking win bets, right?

How are u coming up with 95.24%? Or are u saying if u can sustain that u'l b above break even? Cos its kinda hard to quantify ones ability to select winning bridge jump bets over a lifetime.
Do u bridge jump?

Extremely happy that Durkin is finally hanging them up. I'm an East Coast guy but Durkin should have hung them up a long time ago.

This is 1 thing i can agree with u on BBB however, Durkin was 1 of the best ever & we have him to thank for several great calls!! I watched the real quiet victory gallop bmont race this morn & his call of that race was epic!! Poor guy jus held onto his craft a little to long. He must have bumped into Jeter & Jeter convinced him it was time to call it quits.lol
I think he's been pondering this move since he butchered the "Mine That Bird" derby call.....
My questions for the guys itt is this...
Does Durkin still call the Belmont Stakes for the in house simulcast feed? I know Colmus has it for the NBC coverage...
Would be epic if CC gets to the Belmont with the TC on the line & Durkin gets to call a TC winner in his final Belmont.
Second question, if the TC was on the line at the Belmont, would u rather here Durkin give 1 final call since he's had to call 7 triple crown failures & this would b his last chance to do so, or have Larry Colmus call it?
