BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Exacta ended up paying 198 for 2$, thought it should been higher than that w/ 6-1, 14-1 and 20-1 top 3....Ah well i'll effin take it. Haven't cashed a ticket over 100$ in a month.

Good luck everyone. I know i probably (and am) come across as the biggest newb/horrible capper that exists, but I only know one way to pick winners, at least when it comes to buggie tracks..and it's not the most honest way, but can be very effective at times.

Im curious PJC, how do u rite up a selection post @9:38pm outlining ur opinion & play.... & Then make another post @ 9:42pm celebrating your win?? Am i missing sumthin here? Lets say the 5th race went off @9:39pm exactly to give u the benefit of the doubt, & we know the race went in 1:53'3, so thats nearly another 2mins, bringn the time to 9:41pm & then if everything went butter smooth during the race (meaning no breakers or anything that the stewards would have to waste time on looking at b4 going official), it would roughly take 45-120 seconds for the race to go official once the last horse crossed the wire. Which would bring the time to 8:42 ar the very best & more likely 8:43 or 8:44... No to mention the time it takes to make a post. Sumthin jus doesnt smell rite. I really do hope u crushed that 5th race tho & if ive got this all wrong, nice capping & nice hit.

I was walking down the street the other day when I saw my buddy Matt. I walked up to him and mentioned that I had the most bizarre dream the night before last. Matt listened intently as I told him that the dream consisted of one thing and one thing only. So I told him that all I had dreamt about was a huge glowing number "5." It was made of gold and sparkled with diamonds.
Matt's curiosity was peaked. I went on to say that the first thing that I did in the morning was to grab the daily racing digest and look up the fifth race.

Matt raised an eyebrow. So I told him that the #5 horse in the fifth race was named "The Fifth Element." Matt started grinning. Then I told Matt point-by-point what I did that day.

- I ate five bowls of cereal for breakfast and drank five cups of coffee

- I went for a five mile jog to clear my head

- I took a five minute shower

- I dressed in the fifth suit I found in my closet

- I sat in my car for five minutes before starting it up

- I drove to the racetrack and parked in the fifth stall in the fifth row

- I entered through the fifth admissions gate

- I bought five programs

- I went to the fifth betting window and bet $555 on the fifth horse in the fifth race

- I went and sat in the fifth row of the bleachers making sure there were five people sitting on either side of me.

I settled in and waited for the race to start.

"Well," said Matt. "Did the horse win?"

I frowned at Matt and said, "Stupid horse came in fifth."

No reason to make up a play or a win bro, i'm stuck about 8k this past year and sometimes get pumped over a small hit. I make gut plays based on drivers, trainers and jockeys.

It's been several years since I took horse racing seriously, and so I'm completely out of the loop. I would like to degen it up this week for the Cheltenham Festival. Does anyone have any tips for me? Any inside info? Jockeys...? Horse Whisperers...?

Thanks

PJC got me confused here and I am not the one who called you out I do not even watch harness racing... going to pass on your offer too because I already capped today's cards.

Took 20th yesterday in the Qualifier on TS so I am in for this weekends 10K on the cheap again and try and do better than 6th this time.

Feeling little better and hoping to make a dent at Aqueduct today. Best of luck to everyone's plays itt.

Nice add btw Midwest with the PM picture.

And never use water to put out a VW engine fire........ The engine's on a VW are coated with Aluminum Magnesium. Which doesnt react well to water when on fire.

Theres a Horse Racing thread, but its mainly Flat conversation on this side of the pond. However, i have the Cheltham Cup on my bucket list. I watched this documentary on the horse "Best Mate" & have wanted to go ever since. My advice would be to find a jockey thats a savvy vet & a horse that loves to stay & i mean an absolute staying plodder!!!! As i recall, half the field doesnt finish the race, so finishing is half the battle togetting a win. With 25+ runners n the field it seems like some dutch each way bets would be a sound approach as well. Best of luck

Anybody have any interest in the big cap tmrw?

I hate the horse but got a feeling game on dude is sitting on a huge race.....

Game on dude may be the overlay of the year at 3/1...........I'm gonna bite and say the shipping will hurt mucho macho man......

Mainly a harness player and be on the lookout for shaun vallee this weekend at the meadowlands and Yonkers

Also be on the lookout for pat lachance to take "a week off" after sending everything last week...

$200 win game on dude
Maybe a $10 exacta wheel all(not MMM or wtc) with game on dude

Yonkers race 3 sat night look for Wayne the lefty to be nowhere and over bet....;; this horse hates to win and will find any way to lose at a short price/underlay

Good luck

Never been to that track, but any place called "Killkenny" is worth visiting. I see ul be going on a day that the hurdlers are running, so thats pretty cool. U going with family, or friend or solo? Reason i ask, it looks like they have a decent golf course on site also, as many of the tracks do in the UK, & Ireland. So take ur golf clubs also. And before u go, check out this website for handicapping tips & info.

Good luck on your play. havent handicapped this, but i've said it before, if G.O.D is left alone with an easy lead he does work, if he doesnt get the lead or its hard earned hes done and done early.

not many harness people in here, but this is funny, so we'll let it stand. :-)

fyi - Bobby's Kitten, 1st race since 3rd in BC Juv Turf - race 6 at Tampa. Looks like 4/10 have been scratched, so if there was any value before its prob gone. but interested in how he does. Should be an easy 1 and figure out where he goes next.

good luck all. enjoy the great day of races!

Good instincts on Game on Dude-shipper. I had him singled in P4 P6 for reasons you mentioned and a couple others, but whiffed in two other spots. Good eye though hope ya bet it, nice price paid. Played Him with Blingo but eh.
Hell of a performance for the 3 time Cap.

Thank you for the site. My brother and I are taking our dad to Ireland for a week (including St. Patrick's Day). We have both been, but my father has never traveled overseas. We will be playing golf at Lahinch and playing it by ear the rest of the trip as far as golf goes (my dad is 70 years old now). We may work out a visit to the Irish National Stud. We are going fly fishing. And Gowran Park is on the last day of the trip. Should be an excellent way to close out our "man's trip" to Ireland.

I will be sure to post a trip report!

Lololololo harness is a dead game and at 31 I'm prob the last of a dying breed.....the game on dude race had all the makings of a right down the road score....

I bet win in the race and prob should have just hammered exactas....this other 2 were just victims of being off too many good races

Also how could you not bet a horse that just got carved up at 1/5 when he was pressed the whole way?!??

As for the harness comment about Wayne the lefty the horse hates to win....I didn't see the race but he managed to get beat by a $105 horse lololololo....he ran second and could have been a havable exacta

Gonna start posting here more often as it seems to be a sharp gathering of horse players...!!

Good luck today

Before the 7:10 post time comes and goes I want to point out something that's wrong with this game(harness and flats)

Everybody is quick to say harness racing in "rigged" "drivers pulling horses back" " sitting in" etc etc etc......I don't think it's true in most cases but I'm real sick about the outright ****ing of the public at Yonkers tonight let me explain.....

In the 4th race tonight the morning line maker makes the 4 a 5/1 shot in the race which is totally a false and blatant attempt to sway the "square money" to the 1 who is 8/5ml.......who will be nowhere near 8/5 prob in the 7/2-5-1 range

This is defrauding the public because anybody who either:

A) can't handicap will single the 1 and bypass the 4 in pick3 and pick4 wagering

B) people who do "quick handicapping" at the window will see 8/5 ml from the rail and think that equals 3/5......

C) people see 5/1 as they are flipping through the book they don't give the horse much of a look

As dumb as it sounds there are brain deads out there that bet off of morning line and are constantly screwed over by dishonest/degenerate morning line makers.....there will be a ton of money hooked up on this horses tonight who couldn't win this race if they let him.......

And for the record the 4th race at Yonkers is a huge race in the multirace wagers it's the last leg of the early pick3 and middle leg of the early pk4 so it's a pivotal race on the card

Cliff notes/tl;dr

Yonkers ml maker continues to put out bad morning lines odds to either get a better price for himself or friends

4 horse in 4th race at 5/1 ml will pay at best $3.20 to win.....3/5 is a gift!!!

By tye way I've seen this happen at the meadowlands and various other tracks as well.........so don't trust the track handicappers when looking at horses
