Re: HORSE RACING THREAD

SG my man nice to see you back itt and not coming to BC as fun as that sounds and as much as I would like to my leg tells me otherwise. I do have some girl scout cookies for the BC and will also post my picks to give the more advanced handicappers at least 3 to toss each race

There is a 2 day PK6 carryover at SA for this Thursday of 440k,then 2 day BC,then do not forget the mand payout PK6 on closing day of SA autumn meet sunday.

Nice one also ATS,happy for score

Re: HORSE RACING THREAD

Morning fellas just a few things to add before the BC madness begins...Big thanks to the newsletters from HANA to the thread appreciate that and all the contributions.

I will include the link to the read at the end here but our boy Lenny had a good one and like most of us believers we knew it when we saw her too... just something different this girl. Its always that excitement as Mr.Moss describes and everyone can take something different from her or what ever they choose,me it was just that you just flat out KNEW she would give you everything that day and a dance to boot. I like Lenny hope BC this year brings back that kind of special performance where I may see someone trying to outrun Goldikova (remember that guy lol) that was awesome believe he was a groom.

Read a small article about Chad Brown up in the NVG thread and being a liposarcoma survivor I wont speculate on whats going on but offer any kind of word he may ever need from someone who is there and been there if he may choose to reach out and because this crap is so rare I feel I should mention it.

Weather looks perfect for weekend and SG or anyone else itt snap a picture or 2 for the thread if your at the BC this year. Going to start my capping this afternoon for the weekend, and get ready for these bad disguised sugar bandits who I read online are coming to shake down home owners and renters alike tonight...Around here lots of people have went proactive and put up skeletons and spider webs on their homes and such in an attempt to scare off these sugar thieves but they are coming and cant be reasoned with till local times 8pm where they all seem to scurry off and count their bounty.

Re: HORSE RACING THREAD

Boy I sure remember that race Honcho, it was the best birthday present I ever was given. My girlfriend bought box seats for me, my dad, and two friends for that Breeder's Cup Saturday (yes I married her).

It was really an incredible thing the way the people at the track felt such a connection with the horse. We were about 80 or 100 yards from the finish line, and wouldn't have been 100% sure she had won, except for the roar of the crowd, which removed all doubt!

Only thing I have sorted out with this card so far: if Beholder goes off at 3:1 and doesn't win, they're going to bankrupt me.

I've noticed in previous years there are 2 sets of odds. European and American? Sometimes the difference in odds is incredible, is there a way to set up an account to take advantage of this? Or is everything I just said not even true and I didn't know what I was looking at.

Seems like your referring to the BetFair exchange odds shown on TVG.... If your located in the United States than the answer is no.

For years the UK bookmakers have been compiling odds on the races, and these are the odds I expect you will see given as European odds. I assume the US odds shown will be the pool odds at the track, wheras the European odds will be framed by a UK Bookmaker.

In the UK you can choose which of the two odds you want to take when placing your wager. Historically, American horses have better returns when backed at UK prices and European horses have better returns at the pool price in the US. Of course, this is due to the weight of money wagered on them in the respective markets.

Re: HORSE RACING THREAD

River explained that well and I have been on a 2 year gripe about them not offering exchange wagering in the USA. Did get down on Game On Dude at 11/4 for the Classic.

Just starting the day and once changes are out if any I will give everyone 3 to toss. Have a pretty good idea how I am going to attack todays card already.

TP greatest birthday ever I bet and happy to hear your doing well.

Glad i could get that poor luck out of the way b4 today .
Today is gonna b majestic boys. Il never get tired of these 2 days. I feel like a kid in the candy store & tbh its the only 2 days of the year that im able to forget about everything else in my non-degen world & fire away relentlessly on the greatest tbreds n the world, in the juicie$t races of the year. Best of luck Honcho, SVG, Walk,Kev,BB,Ed,Pdigz,NajD & entire thread. Jus remember, it only takes 1 to get right.
Also^^^ super jelly the above poster was setting in box seats under the grandstand for big Z's classic victory. Old timers were quoted as saying the grandstand hadnt shook like that since the days of Sea Biscuit. Had to b a state of euphoria that day, to witness such a moment. Sick

Glad to see some1 itt repping ebet technologies.
Question:1.
Can you tell me specifically, what % rebate Im earning on rebates from each track for WPS wagers & then for Exotic wagers? Like can you jus post what each tracks rebate % is for tmrws tracks on your schedule please.
Question:2.
Do you plan to offer the Daily Racing Form pdf pp's in your handicapping store for purchase? In all my years of gambling, i have never visited an otb, track, or an internet horse betting site that didnt carry the Daily Racing Form in some capacity for its patrons. Not trying to gripe, but theres a reason it's been America's Turf Authority for over 100 Years!! It's vital information, not jus for the player, but for the horsemen too. I have 1 friend that despises the DRF, but its the 1st thing he buys when he gets to the track cos he says he needs to know what every1 else is betting, so he basically uses it to sort out who he's not gonna bet. Its jus an important publication & piece of analysis that's important to the player & if u care about the player, it would be worth making available to us.
Thx

Track Superintendent at santa anita should be fired!! There hasnt been a horse passed on the main in since sunday. Whatever they did to that track between sunday nite to thursday has destroyed every closer/stalking style horses chance of winning on the main track cos its impossible to pass. Very deflating outlook to the BC now. I pray they make a durastic change overnite to the surface. I for 1 could care less if a world record is set if horses cant even pass each other. Such a joke

The politics of the surface is way over the track superintendents head. Euro owner frank stronach is very hands on, especially regarding the track. Thats his baby. You cant fire him.

Re: HORSE RACING THREAD

Zloty welcome to the thread, and GL on your plays today. I have not heard a thing about them changing the surface ATS,all I have heard is that "the track appears to be favoring speed" same thing being said by all. That said, the fact I have not heard anyone make any sort of strong stance against it from a jockey to owner just makes me think that this is just understood it is the way it is and adjust or donate. I donated. I am down $300+ on yesterdays card, and am looking forward to todays. If the track is the same from yesterday I like my Game On Dude future at 11/4 even more.

I liked that TS is using HRTV coverage, and even more I like that they are covering the BCBC and are starting to have top cappers and tournament players on as guest. I will be pulling for our man Kevroc in the tournys today.

To all the Beholder winners itt from yesterday Congrats

Listening to the horse racing show on WS radio & there saying that track maintenance was digging up the track las nite & worked thru the nite to make the surface less speed favoring bcos of the enormous amount of complaints from trainers, jocks & owners. I cant find anything to confirm it, but sounds legit. Fwiw
