Ive been watching jus bout all day, made a couple bets & lost both, but a horse in @SA race9 caught my interest. The 5 horse. Trained by Sadler & ridden today by Martin Garcia. Its a 2yr old colt making his 2nd start. His first start was in oct over this same strip in a MSW & it was a dismal last place finish, he was 39-1 that day & his works were only average, perhaps below average, but he shows up with the addition of Blinkers today. The best way to judge if a horse is gonna benefit from the shades is by looking at his works that are after his last race & see if theres any improvement to the works. If theres improvement, its likely the trainer added the shades for his recent workouts & noticed the improvement & has decided to try it for race day. Well this horse has shown the morning workout improvment & add in sadlers mswtomcl 29% avg & having a race over the track, this imo looks like a good spot to bet him. So

Retama Park, Race 3:Wide open race and not particularly good. I'm going with the #11 (6/1 ML). Should be good value here. Has 1 career start, 7mos ago on dirt (this is on grass), but the speed fig would put him in the mix here. A few good works recently. Worth a bet, imo.

Talked myself out of the PK6 because i thought risk vs reward wasnt there...doh!...Did rock the PK4 for $400 and change on a $40.50 ticket. Looking forward to todays Saturday card at SA,and a few nice races out east. GL

Naj - I think this is a tougher race than ML's suggest. I would need better odds than the 6/5 ML. That being said he beat Indiano last time out and that looks to be his main rival in this 1. Just hope you get better than 6/5. :-)

Naj nice to see you,thought AA was used a little to much to stay on the front end,but the winner got a great trip and took advantage of it,and a shorter field had no traffic to navigate the last 1000 yards helping Indiano.

Side note: I'm trying something new for this year, my mother got me a frog & a turtle ( not a real frog & turtle, but fake ones). She told me to place the frog at the front door & the turtle at the back door. She said that placing the frog at the front door will make the money come leaping in & having the turtle at the back door will make it so the money crawls out. She said its Feng Shui & that it works, so il keep every1 posted if indeed it does work..lol

Didnt play the carryover,but did rock the late PK4 again...I couldnt get my ticket down in price for the first 2 legs,so just concentrated on the PK4,cost myself a few bucks being tight. Was down about $120 from Mondays card,but all told i had a good opening week,around 600 profit. See everyone friday.

The #10 crushed his 3/5 foe, leaving her in the wake at the top of the turn & drew out to win by 5 or 6 decisive lengths! She paid $7.00 for a total return of $105 for my $30 win ticket & the DD will pay $1=$11 let's gogogogo

The #6 horse won like a sure thing. To quote the announcer Mr Dooley "She's full of run today, she's pouring it on to win by 4.5 lengths"!!
$2DD paid $23, giving me a return of $230 on my $20DD ticket & a total return of $435 for my $50 investment. Btw, the #5 in the last race my be a good bet, Wes Harley trained 1ster & go to rider mena takes the call 6-1 ML & jus came on the board at 6/5!!!!! Will prolly float to 5/2 3/1 area IMO.
