I need to make an opinion, and I think I'm more willing to chuck Fort Larned last race then I would be Ron the Greek...

We shall see. can't wait...

Bejarano is confirmed for Game On Dude which i like. And my thoughts are spot on with yours in terms of scartchig RTG's last race.

I'm contemplaying a superfecta part wheel and Game On Dude is definately one if the two horses that i'll include...

Hey all- so I was bored at work today... And per usual fired up twinspires for some PS bets on longshots to pass time... So first race i see 1 MTP was plainridge, of course had to bet it even though I hate harness. Loved the line movement on a bomb, the #5 horse.
Final turn, they favorite fades out around final turn and low and behold my 88-1 shot comes barreling around and flies shoots out of a cannon.. Horse finishes second behind an 11-1 shot. since I had 5P 5S I'm thinking okay, maybe 100$, I'll glad it..the. My eyes get wide as I see the prices posted...

Gate Horse Jockey Win Place Show
2 BET SHESA MANNY T O'DEA $24.00 $10.60 $37.00
5 FREEDOM FRY T CARLSTROM * $30.20 $238.20
4 I WANNA RACE R ANDERSEN *

How the hell did that happen ?!? 238$ to show?!? Biggest show price I've ever see .....needless to say I'm one happy degen!!!

Onto the Breeders boys and good luck to y'all.

allright the walk. here we go. playing in a tournament that covers every cup race. format is 20w/p in every race, live money. whatever cash i win i keep. there's 20k gauranteed in purse money, and likely more close to 35k cuz it's gonna oversubscribe, to be split among the top 10% finishers too. all of that's in play as well as for the top two an all expenses paid trip to the hpws in feb 2013. for leaderboard purposes the format changes...tournament rules call for $20.00 W/P bets with the first $2.00 paying full track price and the remaining $18 capped at 20-1 ($42) and 10-1 ($22) respectively.

tournament players recognize that unlikely looking runners at big numbers are the ones to try. if you can get 3 cap horses and two intermediate shots you win. 2 caps and 2 intermediates and you're right there.

good luck to us all, but especially to me. horses come home safely please.

Quick thoughts on Fridays Card, much more in-depth look is required.

I like Fame and Glory a lot in the marathon. Horse cutting back, great connections, and think this is the right distance.

Juv Fillies Turf -- seems like we have a ton of solid rating horse. I'm trying to find the horse who can take the lead and control the pace...Tara from the Cape? Waterway Run? MoonWalk?

Juv Fillies -- I think this race is ripe for an upset. Tons of pace with many horses who don't have the distance experience. Looking for a closer with some value.

Ladies Classic -- best talent of any race in the entire BC, IMO. I prefer to take a shot against Royal Delta. But, I'm not exactly going too far away... Questing and My Miss Aurelia if RD gets pounded and I can get 3/1+ on either... I like the company these horses keep.

I have no clue about the juv sprint or the filly and mare turf.

stay safe to all of those affected by storm. i'm an east coast guy, but am lucky enough to say i have power and no damage.

i'm a lot less interested in BC this year than last, for some reason. i think partly because i never bet big races, although i watch them, and because the 3 yo class has been decimated with injuries and illness.

anyways,..

turf sprint: i would like to go with someone thats won over the downhill course - this course runs so much different than the usual 5 or 5 1/2 furlong races. Unbridled's Note did just that - a Gr.III last out and is on the improve, imo. a lot of the usual suspects in this field that never seem to ever win a decent race. you know who i mean.

classic: i'll be cheering for MMM. i like that RtG has won a big one at SA. even though he bombed out in the JCGC he has been training well, and maybe he will get a better price because of that race.

Been raced quite a bit this season and in some tough races, even went H2H with Frankel. Would be surprised if he won but OTOH maybe Coolmore were just tuning him up for this particular race.

I fancied the horse last year but probably won't be having a bet this year.

So in summary, I have no clue! You get very little info out of the O'Brien's so it's just hard to know.

Is anyone else against using Fame And Glory, and Jacito for the Marathon because they raced Oct 20th and 21st?

Fame and Glory will be a top play for me tomorrow. First time lasix, third off layoff, great trainer with the ship in, certainly well meant (aren't they all...), and a cut back from 2 miles. Boom.
