RA will never run a match race IMO no matter what the price is. JJ brought Curlin out to Santa Anita last fall for the Breeders Cup,and still regrets running him on the synthetic.

Zenyatta is a freak, and one of my favorite horses ever, but she cannot beat RA up to a mile and a half,UNLESS it is on the synthetics. Their running styles couldnt be more different, and when big Z made her move to catch RA the line would come before she could catch RA,up to 1 1/2 miles.

When I was reading this I thought you wrote Zenyatta cannot beat RA up to a mile...was saying ur nuts but then seen the "and a half." Rachel Alexandra is a much better horse than Zenyatta its not even close. Zenyatta keeps beating up on the same horses. She will not win horse of the year no matter how many times she wins in CA in 09'. She has to leave CA and travel around and beat everyone or beat the boys.

Rachel will win horse of the year 100% even if she loses. She already won a TC race, set amazing records and is just a monster. Also beat the boys so she will get the award and has beat every horse that has tryed to face her.

I think RA would crush Zen in a match race but, I'd like to see it at Fairplex!

They'd have to whip around those turns 100 times, lol.

I would be scared to leave out the 3 in the 6th race. By Larry the Legend who is good with firsters and Craig Lewis is an often overlooked trainer who is decent with firsters and 2yo's. just my two cents. Good Luck All

I respect Simon waaay too much to let this advice go unheeded.

I'm gonna add the #3 to the first ticket, bumping it to $80 and the grand total to $236.

Thanks for the love Kev, hope I didn't steer you wrong. Thought for sure he would take more money than he is. Especially earlier money than drift up to 5,6-1. Those guys out there are usually pretty sharp on the firsters , see what happens.

My ticket

6) 3-4-6

7) 2-3

8) 3-5

9) 6-12-13

Good luck All. peace

Sorry for the bad juice Kev, expected alot more from him today but I knew I was in trouble when no money was coming in on him. I will still put him in my stable and follow up with him at least one more time.

Congrats on the 5th anniversary, have a great time and hope you at least get some. I'm coming up on my 20th in a month, so those days have passed me by. Can't believe were the ****ing time went. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

All right Kev, 3 down , one to go. It isn't going to pay those big balloons, but I only invested $36 and a winner is a winner, right? I've been to this point 5 times so far this meet and have not hit one yet, so maybe I'm due.

Good luck bro!! Interesting the 6 is paying less than the 12 and the 12 is @6-5 right now, while the 6 is 7-2. Hidden money, ITT. LOL. One time

Edit: If Kyla Stra ****s me again, I give up!!

Congrats Kev, I'll be back I'm going to go throw up! I would rather have run last. That was like one of them races back in the day when ACME or one of the supermarkets would have a "night at the races" and everyone had the 12 and would think they won and her comes someone from the clouds to nip them at the wire, of course no one had that horse. I am on tilt and probably going to tilt may roll away at Los Al.

Late pick 4 at Del Mar

Still trying to shake off that brutal beat today, I can't sleep so I might as well cap. this group of races is tough but at 2:30 am this is what I see.

Race 7)
12-Marcello- Has the benefit of experience over the track and ran a decent fourth to the highly touted Tiny Woods. Gomez rides back for Baffert, Likely favorite, imo

3-Poker Trick- By Werblin, who is decent with firsters, a couple gaps in his works but a nice gate work on 8/8. The one I like the most of the three O'Niell has in here.

4- Mr. saturdaynight- By Grand Reward who I love as a sire and has a steady string of works for his debut for Sadler/Talamo combo who perform pretty well with firsters. Bullet for debut and also owned by Gary Barber who everything he touches turns to gold.

Race 8) 3- I'll Show Them- Undefeated son of Smarty Jones takes a big step up in class today and stretches out for Hoffmans who I respect greatly. Beat Gretsky in his turf debut and I think the extra 1/16 only enhances his chances. Not particularly fond of Garcia, but he did ride Gretsky to his only two wins and he stays with this horse. Maybe he didn't have a choice but interesting none the less.

2- Rendevous- Coming off a good third in the Oceanside, to an impressive winner in Afleet Eagle, where he was steady and made a decent run late. Ridden by Rosario who imo is the best jockey on the grounds right now. Nice works leading up to the race and probable favorite.

9- Plasma Beam- Probably a bit of a longshot here but he has the highest last race beyer, also by Smarty Jones but has better turf breeding on the bottom side than I'll Show Them and stretching out from 6f shouldn't be a problem. Speed hasn't been good so far on The Del Mar turf but if Nakatani can get him to relax he might be able to steal it.

Race 9) 3-Chief's Lake- This once classy runner makes his second start og an almost two year layoff, Talamo takes over for Ted West who has won with half his starters at the meet and usually makes the best out of his limited runners. This horse loes to win, I am concerned about the bounce since he outran his odds last start but West moves him up in class and that race was almost 40 days ago with two decent works in between. If he is right I think he can lay close enough to a contested pace and get first run on the late closers.

8- Yes It's A Cat- Is 1 for 1 over the surface, coming off a nice with on the turf last out. They had high hopes for this 4 time winner which haven't materialized and also should sit a nice trip for T. Baze. Also can never count out the needle man Mullins in a race like this.

5- Deluxe Cat- In these types races I like to play angles and this one for me is the angle play. Been claimed in his last two starts now goes for Lewis who is 31% off the claim and gets Mike Smith to ride. Imo, the pace falls apart in this race and this horse might mow them all down late.

Race 10) 7- My Spanish Fling- Firster by excellent win early sire Spanish Steps. A nice string of steady works for the lethal combo of Rosario/Sadler. I know we don't have the luxury but watch the board on this one could come out running against what looks like a suspect group.

5- Captivating Lyrics- The deadly MSW to Mdn Claiming class drop for an excellent trainer in B. Kornier. Not real sure about the switch to Atkinson, but he has been working well for his return and I suspect he'll be favorite.

8- Angel Before Us- By another good first time sire Marino Marini and I love when Spawr has a steady string of works without any gaps. Spawr also owns this one and while not really known for having them cranked up early, this ones works have been steadily improving and she wouldn't have to be much to contend in here.

Well now its 3:35 am here in Philly and you think after 40 years the tough beats wouldn't effect me that much. And it's not even about the money so much I just want to hit this dam thing. well maybe todays the day. Best of luck to all you guys and thanks for giving me this opportunity to vent. If you don't like the picks remember you get what you pay for. LOL. a little late night humor, oh well not so much... peace

Now on to Saratoga and the 500k......

WOW so much negative thoughts, lol, sorry i asked about the spa late pk4

This is just me,but i never think like that,i like the challenge of the hard pk4's,and i have trust in my capping. If it doesnt meet my risk vs reward criteria,i pass,BUT im not affraid of no pk4. Stay thirsty my friends! lol

Lol, WTF is going on at the Spa today. Big balloons all day. Putting in a small Pk 4 ticket, after all its 500K and based on the races so far it will pay every bit of that.

8) 2- 4-6
9) 6-9
10) 1-8-10
11) 5-6-8

Keeping it small, Good Luck to All!!
