That's the Kevroc i know! Excellent

Nice Najd

Not a fan of RD as a rider at all,but will say Hansen just got beat today.

So, you're telling me that online poker players can figure out how to get rebates from a totally different website [if they need to] but they can't figure out how to get 8-12% automatically by playing online, up to 17% on exotics at some tracks? Pus the deposit bonuses.

Don't get me wrong, it's an issue, but it is not *the issue*. There's not a single gambler I know that likes to wait 30 mins btw each bet. And people are never going to learn enough from the starting gate to want to say, stay up late and bet the smaller tracks, the trotters, learn all the local jocks and trainers, etc.

I'd love to be wrong, but I've been waiting 20 years for the 'next generation' to get interested in horses and it's just not happening.

Ok Nadj, after reading again and this time paying a little more attention to detail the question asked of bringing in new blood so to speak you are correct 100%,i do not believe lowering the take out would create that boom, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I forget sometimes this is a poker forum, and not horse everything. Like i have mentioned before to you i think your a sharp guy,and would def like to hear more opinions more often from you here in the future. I mean you got to jump in and ask "what the hell is Honcho smokin"

FT holy cow man,i was just thinking about you today i swear, wondered what happened to you. Remembered you are the big Calvin Borel fan,and back every ride he's on regardless price when he is outside KY

Walk as always a great sport, and stand up guy in my book...Feel free to give it back man,im an easy target especial when i post my picks,or plays

Hell of a fun Horse racing day today, and imo Bodemesiter was most impressive....He looked liked he was a blur at the wire without a lot of urging.

CD nice day man, sorry i missed you in the Bode blurr earlier.

Yeah, I have to come around to thinking it's not just about the take. I have friends that used to go to the track and now it's mainly the Casino and slots. We used to play craps and blackjack, but I guess playing the slots is just easy enough for us Senior Citizens, pretty sad, what some free play and food comps can do. We play cards once a week, but never play cards online or at the Casino, enjoy your youth!

I much rather go to the track than the Casino, the experience of all the different things going on, sitting at a table having a few pops with friends, dinner and Capping the races is something I don't do enough, but more than anything, I'm tired of losing money and anything with the lowest juice is gonna have my attention.

I was thinking people went to poker because they could make money playing, but also poker is easy to get a game going anytime, just a deck of cards, plenty of action and it's "in" to do. HR does have advantages over the pokorz like not being intimidated directly by other players and easier to pick out bets without learning complicated poker strategy plus the things I talked about earlier. Easier to take a family to the track than it is a poker game, but HR will never be a threat to poker.

I still have to think that lowering the take would increase the growth of HR, but I guess I was just hoping for too much.

Will the favorite even get to 3/1? Doubtful, right?

If I had to predict the top 3 favorites, I'd say:

1) Bodemeister
2) Gemologist
3) Union Rags

Take Charge Indy might get tons of play b/c of Borel.

I kind of want to see what value I can get on Daddy Nose Best, Sunland Derby winner. Showed good closing speed aided by a fast pace. I think that fast pace is going to be evident in the Derby. Sabrecat is an interesting horse too. Potential closer to pick up all the speed... you'll see 15/1+ on those two horses, no doubt.

Hansen will be front runner but will have tons of heat up front, kind of reminds me of a slightly better Shackleford. not thinking hansen can win the Derby at all.

Kind of ridiculous to handicap a race that is 2 weeks away... I'll stop now!

Hello room. Its been a while since i last came on. but c'mon its derby talk time. I think the last couple of years i have paid attention to all hype. Ive paid attention to works all the info all the anaylst everything. And every year since big brown the faviorte lost. I mean dialed in lol anyways i have seen though the fav always hits the board. So this year i will play the jocks. Plus Mario Gutierez because he is going to win.lol sorry im from so cali

this year i will put boadimeister in the 2nd and 3rd hole this derby has alot of speed hansen boadimeister some others with no shot will go also i will use horses that know how to sit the pace and make it a race ill have another (mario) union rags gemoligist borels horse my fav jock gomez got scraps so he will be in his fav spot except for a lil win spot gomez3 or 4 hole he should be riding daddy long legs for the tabours

sorry all over the place ill have another take charge indy gemologist( tiz now ****n beast sire) union rags creative cause top

all these plus bodie hansen dullahan thats it i will handicap these 8 and will use these 8 in the pick 3 and oaks derby double

Am in love with Bode.

Mike Watchmaker's ...

1 - Bodemeister (8)
Only one here with 3 triple-digit Beyers
2 - Creative Cause (1)
Solid; prefer him with blinkers though
3 - Union Rags (2)
Still waiting for his big step forward
4 - Algorithms (3)
Might have been the best before injury

5 - Dullahan (new) 8 - Gemologist (6)
6 - I’ll Have Another (4) 9 - Alpha (7)
7 - Hansen (5) 10 - Take Charge Indy

Not to mention on the same card they ran the G2 for older with G1 field. Same distance in 1:49:94...Bode ran in 1:48:71.

Bode easily goes off favorite for the Derby and probably around 7/2.

Of course every Kentucky Derby is very hard to handicap if not impossible. I mean there is 20 horses!

But this years Derby...wow EVERY horse you can make a reason for betting. Unlike when Super Savor won and was 7/1 there was a bunch of horses that shouldn't been the odds they were. This year there really is a lot of good horses that are all equally good.

Horses I know that will be over bet this year.

Take Charge Indy will probably be the second choice because Borel money by public.
Daddy Nose Best will be over bet.
Dullhan will be over bet like crazy and I would LAY.
