I use Twinspires and have had a great experience. Easy user interface and the 2 times I had to contact support they got back quickly and answered my questions. Easy to get money on and off. Free PP if you make a wager at that track on that day. Plus 1st deposit bonus and a decent VIP program.

Ive heard Xpressbet is similiarly good. But no first hand experience.

Hey everyone - hope you all are doing well and making some money !

I'm playing this oaklawn carryover again - missed yesterday obv, had 4/6 and should have had that animal that beat me in race 3, if I had looked it over a little better, but oh well. 5/6 only paid $1299, so who needs that right? lol

Here's my ticket today, already got a single home in the first leg, which is nice. If I can hit the single in race 4, I've got some coverage for the last 4 legs and like it a lot

3) 3
4) 1
5) 1-5-6-8
6) 2-7-8
7) 1-4-9
8) 2-9-10

This Small Timer's Picks for March 25...

GP8 $20 win #10 Irish Wedding(8-1). Got lucky last week quick 'capping a GP layoff horse. Try again. Everyone in the field is ultra samey figwise. This gal is too, except she responded from her first 6 month vacation, 2 to 3 by jumping up from a 39 to a 73. She's been off 7 months now from 3 to 4. Trainer appears adept with long layoff horses as he's 24% in the category. With normal improvement from 3 to 4...

GGF $20 early pick 3: 5 with 5 with 2. 9-5 to 2-1 to 3-1 cold. Do I really gotta type analysis? Capt. Obv.

SA4 $20 double: 5 with 6.
Race 4: #5 Bourbon Bay(9-5)likes SA Turf. 24(7-5-4)Lifetime. On SAtrf he's 7(5-1-0) at 12f he's 7(3-2-0). It's a mystery why he's in at 118 and the 6 carries 123. Nobody else but the 10 year old Porfido has ever run this far.

Race 5: #6 Gallant Gent(5-1)has some things I look for that hit at a high rate for the level. Has the highest bsf of any horse in the field at the track, plus it's the highest bsf of his own life. Off since May, 4 to 5, he takes advantage of the 9 month rule in CA that allows you to run back at the same level without being in for a tag. That and securing Rosario for a 12,500 claimer, 1st w/tnr. Intent.

SA7 $40 win #3 Hard to Resist(20-1). She's one of those game theory horses who looks likely to post her big try here. Prep n go. 3 to 4. Even sprinting to routing. Went from 76 to 84 at 3, 2nd off, after matching her 2yo best 76. 3yo & lifetime best is 88. Posted an 86 on Feb 17, in her first of the year off a 3 month lay. Looks like you'll need a 93 to win. 2 and a half lengths ain't so hard to find at that age. 2nd off here for a trainer who's 28% in the category. It's also worth noting he's 24% spr to rte. Both higher than his overall 19%.

$10 exacta 2-3. #2 is Cambina(7-2).

$110 at risk

Not stepping on any toes. You're correct on those for some reason I had a brain fart and didn't think of those. Cannot go wrong with Twinspires or DRFBETS.

Hmmm...so what is your guys opinion on this.

My friend wants to bet me that all TVG hosts including Gino, Christina, etc make over $125,000/year.

Also wants to bet that Matt C makes $250,000/year.

And also wants to bet that Simon Bray gets the most and around $500,000/year.

I could possibly believe Matt C makes a ton because he does do :58 Flat. Simon Bray does travel around the world for TVG. I am guessing Paul L. gets paid a bit as well.

a couple comments:

1) Sti1gar - The 1st at Sunland today includes Washington bred Indian Weaver. He is making his 102nd start and is closing in on 350k in earnings. he has 15 lifetime wins. 7/2 ML 2nd choice. I saw his last start, which was a 2nd place finish and he looked sharp. If he can get the lead and set the pace today, he should be there at the end. Good luck to him.

2) The Bourbonette Oaks at TP yesterday: I often think jockeys lose races but don't win them. Johnny Velazquez handling of In Lingerie was quite exceptional. She was wound tight before the race. She was kicking and really on edge while loading. And then bolted out at the start. I don't know if all jockeys could have reeled her in and settled her down and have her cut the pace. But he did and she settled and she won easy. He really may have won the race yesterday. Great job by John.

To JO^^^^^

theres no way tvg hosts make that type of money. Simon Bray prolly does make the most, but i think thats cos he was involved in the startup & i think i remember hearing he was a small % owner. However i was told this b4 betfair bought them.

I believe ive mentioned this SEVERAL times lol my opinion on the so called TVG on air talent. There is no way they make that much, just cant be,because if they are that is the most wasted $$ ever. I am of the opinion that almost anyone in this thread can break down a race,a track,a horse,a trainer for that matter as well if not better than any of those jokers. Mute button is my friend, and for Matt C the mute button always on...That was easy!

Well as much money TVG/Betfair is bringing in...I wouldn't be shocked that they get paid that much.

I did hear one time Matt C. saying he drives a minivan and Simon Bray drives a porsche and range rover. I'm sure they get over $100,000/year and/or money to bet with.

Do agree anyone here can break down a race

I need to add here that i havent watched TVG in over 5 years as well, and no idea if there on air talent is any better to be fair about it. I have not watched or owned a t.v in over 3 years.

The DRF PP's use to not include the ML on them except for big race days, now they have them on every damn one,so before i can cap when i use the sheets i have to go and black out every ML,then after capping i go back to see the ML to determine where I see the value. I respect a lot of peoples opinions, but when its time to reach for my wallet,my opinion is the only one that matters.

Not sure what to make of the 7th today at SA. I was occupied elsewhere today and had no idea it was even wet on the course, and looking at the prices that came in im going with just a cluster f of a race. Watched the replay and GoGo still does not look healthy imo, tenative in the stretch, but again that may of been him taking care of himself and horse 1st on the wet course.

John V was mentioned a few post back, and i can say i agree 100% with that post. Stand up guy,and a excellent rider. Imo there are just a handfull of smart riders that can do what he does. For example again just my opinion, you take a Martin Garcia who rides for BB. I dont see anything special in his ability at all on the back of a horse,OTHER than he executes to a T what BB asks of him in every race. I think BB said its my way or back to subway (believe where MG worked before racing).

Make a note to purchase & save or print ur PP's on the day they draw. The track ML odds maker has yet to set his lines & u can avoid having odds printed on ur PP's. Its a must for me
