I always have a great sense of humor! Trust me if I lost 1,000 photo finishes...my kids will still eat tomorrow and get braces and go to school. And I'm not rich. Just only gamble what is in the kitty.

Baffert strikes again with first time starter. Not only did his first time starter win but his other first time starter ran second who almost won at 8/1. 8/5 over 8/1 two baffert babys.

Like everyone says...better than ripping up the ticket. That's your second worst case. Of course you hope to hit for way more. All chalk nothing you can do.

Well you can't get that in the stock market

Creative Course got a nice trip, with the pace, but Bode had a clean trip also with no excuse. That he re-rallied to give CC a run makes capping the SA Derby pretty interesting. Which horse would you expect to be favored?

Had a 4 figure day for the first time in a long time on Saturday at Sydney and Melbourne.

$150 Hay List ($4.50) and $5 on the quinella paying 45/1 because Buffering is my favourite horse which ran second, $100 Ofcourseican at $5.50.

Lost a bit back while trying to continue my heater and missed the jump when wanting to put $100 Shoot Out @ $5 but all's well.

Missed on a further grand when my 1 out $1.50 quaddie missed by a head bobber in the last leg paying $900. That would of been $1350. Could of easily had a $3k+ day.

Is the Cheltenham Festival popular at all for you American horse racing punters?

Anyway, everyone on Facebook should be following this guys' tips. https://www.facebook.com/BazzasBankers

Really solid tips and I've made quite a bit of £ from them, and they have tips for each Cheltenham race.

I feel that Rafael moved a little bit too long. He gave Bode a couple of taps to pass American Act...when if he waited American Act would have easily just ran out of gas.

Baffert was also very easy on Bode. He wanted to enter him in ALW race but he did and only one other horse was entered. So he was forced to race him in this race. He wanted to do ALW then SA Derby. So Bode will be all hands on deck for the SA Derby.

CC will 99.9% be the favorite over Bode but not by much. Probably 8/5 CC and 2/1 Bode. Will be interesting because I don't think American Act will come back in the SA Derby.

Will be firing a fortune on Bode in the SA Derby.

John Ortiz was in the winning circle with one other person. He is Turo Escalante on Luck. Not sure if he had a piece of the horse but he was holding the trophy.

So you'd lay 1000-1 on CC favorite over BB? Give you half off. 500-1? JKJK

I disagree. He was in the 2-path the whole way and didn't go to the whip until the stretch. Both horses ran their race perfectly, CC just beat him out (and got a slightly better trip).

Not necessarily. Baffert can still punt the SA Derby. He's not afraid to enter a Triple Crown horse looking somewhat iffy.

id b careful too imo. I dont think bodmeister is a derby horse, although u can usually expect better things from a horse making its 2nd start around 2 turns. I think theres a lil more sentimental attachment to this for bob b, then most. I dont think ul see bob tryin to force his way to the ky derb with this 1. He did that last year with midnite interlude & was on record saying he wished hed have give ML a better foundation b4 throwing him the biggest race of his life. IMO the most powerful statistic in the Ky Derby is that NO horse has ever won the KY Derby that didnt have atleast 1 start as a 2 year old. Even if they didnt win as a 2yo, its so vital to get that foundation built in the freshmen season. Easier said than done, any trainer will tell u, its not easy getting 1 to the gate at age 2, so much can go wrong. So im not sayin bob failed here, cos im sure theres good reasons y bode didnt start as a 2yo, im jus sayin, i wouldnt get too excited on this 1. But if any1 can do it, its baffert.

the 2 races i'm looking forward to on Saturday:
--N.O. Ladies S. at FG with Havre de Grace
--Wayward Lass S. at Tampa with Arena Elvira

Only thing that sucks is its a 5-horse field in the N.O. Ladies. This seems more and more common and I dont get it and def dont like it. The race doesnt need to be 18 horses or something, but at least have 8. come on!!

Anyways, both making their 2012 debuts. Should be fun to see them race again.

Good luck this wknd, everyone!
