Apparently Henry Cecil was on the radio in Oz this morning talking about the possibility of taking Frankel back down to the mile trip for the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. It was just the other week that Peter Moody talked about extending Black Caviar's stay so she could run in that race. It's still a long way off but at least they are considering it.

A UK bookmaker said that if it was announced today that they would be racing each other then they would have the odds as:

Frankel 1/2
Black Caviar 6/4

As much as I love Frankel I'd have to take the mare at those prices.

Yes that's true. Only + to betting early in the day IMO. I feel it's so worth it for that reason. And having a $1 ticket you don't have to worry about taking a cut on your payout. I mean if $100,000 in pool. 100 people hit it...each get $1000. If 101 hit it...everyone would get $990. So I like betting early.

Going to get them good Saturday!

Going to be making my 2nd biggest win bet tomorrow in the night cap at SA. $2,500 to win #5 Derby Gold. Baffert is 24/28 on his last 28 maiden races. Cannot mess with Baffert/Garcia in a MSW race. Will give update before I bet. Can't keep eyes open but I'm hooked. He came threw a lot for me.

I'm gonna take a shot at Santa Anita tomorrow.

$60 pick 5
2/3,5,8/1/2,4,5,7/3,5,7
2/3,5,8/4,5/2,4,5,7/3,5,7
2/6/1/2,4,5,7/3,5,7

If the chalk loses the 1st I'll play
$60 pick 4
3,5,8/1/2,4,5,7/3,5,7
3,5,8/4,5/2,4,5,7/3,5,7
6/1/2,4,5,7/3,5,7

The late pick 4 seems tougher
$160 pick 4
2,3,5,7/3,4,5,7/2,5,6,7,8/1,3,5,9

If I feel like cutting some of the fat off I'll play a cheaper late pick 4 focusing on Baffert's baby in the last.
$100 pick 4
3,5,7/5/2,5,6,7,8/5
3,5,7/4,7/2,5,6,7,8/5
3,5,7/5/2,5,6,7,8/1,3,9
3,5,7/4,7/2,5,6,7,8/1,3,9
2/5/2,5,6,7,8/5
3,5,7/3/2,5,6,7,8/5

1) thats cute, M.Honcho. thanks for posting. Congrats to Zenyatta.
2) Morrow Cove races in a MSW today - race 2 at GP. this is a horse that DC had written about before her first race. she gets stretched out to a mile today, which really should help her. ML favorite, and I think delivers here. If she runs as good as her 1st race she'll be right there, and I think she'll be better this time out.
3) looking forward to the GPH tomorrow. Mucho Macho Man v. Jackson Bend. Should be a 2 horse race, but the matchup is interesting.

good luck this wknd, everyone!

Morrow Cove ran a big one. Opened up by 7+ in the stretch to gate to wire it. Went off at 4/5 though.

Ouch, hope you decided to lay off and/or didn't have an aneurysm watching that race. Kinda strange that there were two Pick-6 tickets with the 18-1 winner, and the only other live P6 horse in the final leg was the odds-on favorite. But first time starter with a 6-1 morning line, I guess it makes a little sense.

If anyone wants to see one of the most brutal stretch fades ever, check the video.

Whoops I hope that didn't come across as a mock; I was honestly trying for sympathy. I'd never try to rub salt in a bad beat wound.

I opened this thread for the first time today, but I was watching that SA race yesterday (no action, mostly hoping for a P6 carryover) and remembered the crazy finish.

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't followed racing in awhile, but am going to try to get back into it this year.

Watching Gulfstream pre-race show, going over sheets and i just need to mention Jessica Pacheco. This woman knows horses and is flat out beautiful. Ive watched her do the show often, and always cracks me up when she is looking at the monitor when she is not speaking,i believe she is oblivious to her own beauty. Total package.

I mus b picky.... I think shes horrible in regards to knowing horses. Def a pretty girl tho. Last year at fairgrounds, she made her best bet of the day, a horse that some 2% trainer had jus claimed off Amoss. When i saw that, i said to myself either shes got inside info or shes got no clue. The horse ran up the track. Maybe im wrong bout her, but at the end of the day, all that matters is, id hit it

That was a really insane stretch fades in a long time. He really was in hand and wrapped up. I didn't do $2,500 to win because he was way to low and I don't play horses that low rarely. I did do $500 to win :/
