Yep. And the prices weren't too impossible. Crazy that day it paid $250,000+ I believe...about two weeks ago...with the #15 in night cap. I was actually alive with the 16 singled. Didn't get to watch race or will pays. Only could imagined what it would have been paying. Horse from Calder was private purchase paid $90 I had.

For anyone in Las Vegas...anyone know what the South Point $20 bet is up too?

Last I heard it was $25,000+...has not been hit in over 3 weeks.

7 tracks. $20 buy in...up to 5 buy ins. Pick ANY 6 winners no matter the prices and win your share of the $25,000. Sounds easy but I am guessing it's not.

yeah it would be awesome. So many interesting things could happen. Theres rumour over here that we're going to send a pace setter over there with her to try put the heat on frankel in the first part of the race since he bolts. I think its fairly unlikely they go up against each other though. Even if BC enters in a longer race I think the owners of Frankel are a good chance to just avoid her given that if he gets beat by a mare his stud value goes down a ridiculous amount. Anyway I hope they go up against each other because she doesnt really have anything else to prove as a sprinter.

I played the rainbow that day. I was kicking myself for not playing a pick 3 in those first 3 races. I had singled the 6 in the first race & had the #8 in the next 2 races. $1 pick 3 paid $2700!! Not hard at all, 4-1, 11-1 & 12-1. Had me talkn to myself for a while....lol its a great bet though. Especially if we can get to closing day with a large carryover. It pretty much makes it the best bet ever offered in racing when its closing day & theres 1mil carried over. Last year on closing day, chalk won the first 5 legs & then Ariel Smith won the last leg at like 12/1 & the darn thing paid $3.2k for a dime!! Sick return

There is no way that black cavier (and she is a beast) no way that she beats FRANKEL in a race. First off cavier is a sprinter. Athe the tops she can only go 7 for a great run. Frankel is a running nothing short of 1 1/6 You need to understand somthing. Frankel was named after THE GREAT BOBBY FRANKEL. The great trainer for Judmont. One of the best trainers on the south side out here in cali but in the states and a monster turf trainer. Frankel in short is just amazing. They wont meet.

It looks like another year of a really good jock winning the derby. Union rags is a beast. I just dont want them to follow the eskendraya route and jinx it. Although we will see the 2 horses i really like in west coast. OUT OF BOUNDS is a nice horse. AND the sheik really is itching for a derby horse as is GARRETT GOMEZ the other horse is (ill have another) he ran a great race that day out here i seen that race and it was a very nice one those 3 horses are in my future exacta wager and win bets

For the reasons SG mentions i also dont believe they hook up,just different styles.

Im also a SoCal capper and think GoGo being my fav jockey as well is still on the mend with a bad heel, but should be up on mounts soon i am hoping, and any owner would be happy hes riding their KYD mount imo.

ATS saw how like all of us here you were kicking yourself in the butt on that PK3,and am curious if you roll cards when you see value throughout a card? I have done this to some success with playing the early and late 4's,then all PK3's and all DD's throughout the card that imo was going to return at least 3-1 roi.

The rainbow i never play except the mand days like last yr. I know a couple years back in the thread Kev was chasing one at Buelah of all places that got insanely huge and had a mand last day pay.

I will be chasing the PK6 carryovers all year, and no longer bothering with the PK4's for the most part.

Pool 2 opens also this Friday

The horse is still 19 for 19 and really never asked to run once. So we really don't know what she can actually do. It's hard to have a horse win 1 race...let alone 3...let alone 19 for 19. Only time will tell.

Crazy payouts at Sunland Park today.

$2 Pick 6 was $274,000. However, I'm guessing at the track someone had a $0.10 Pick 6.

The late pick 5...THREE correct paid $62.

Late pick 4 was $25,000.

CT LP4 50c

4
1,4,5,6
1,4,6
8,9,10

$18

The single is the key, He's a Hobby is a solid closer in a field where the other horses only seem to win when on the lead, hoping for an insane pace battle here, and 4 will pick up the mess, Lets beat a Penn shipper!

Also getting 11lbs on the favorite.

got the pace I wanted just didn't have the right closer oh well.

nuts, since the only big price was in the 2nd to last race. every other race was entirely "getable". goes to show you how one big balloon can make for a pretty lucrative vertical wager payout.

by the way, a huge hello to my man, Honch. Glad to see you back and posting!

I hope there's another mandatory rainbow 6 carryover when Gulfstream closes. Regarding last year's final day at GP, I actually posted my rationale and picks for the pk6, and hit the 10c for $3200. Thank you Ariel! That was also the last bet I've won. Haven't seen a sizeable winner in a long while. I like to think I'm just depositing into a savings account, and will cash out.... eventually.

good thread everyone. this is basically the only reason I come on this forum anymore. the rest of the sportsbetting threads have gone south.

Yes that is my good argument for betting smaller tracks. Yes, it looks like all the horses are pulling a tractor or running in slow motion. It's a crap shoot.

HOWEVER, nobody is firing away $100+ Pick 4 tickets at these smaller tracks. At SA people are literally betting $1k+ Pick 4's. So you have SO MUCH dead money at the smaller track with a lot of people betting $20> tickets. And ONE price you have a good chance at 3/4 or an insane payout.

The worst beat I've taken in awhile was about 6 months ago at Delaware. I was looking at previous results days and seen 4/5 kept hitting every time a single price won. I said hmm I'll take a shot. I hit $79 horse...then $49... then $3... then $13... going into the last race I'm alive with two horses 8/5 and 9/1. I figured I had to be the only ticket alive. I was going to run to bank and bet $1000 to win on the 3/1 choice...as I figured the only way I could possibly lose is extremely rare if the 3/1 won and someone had alive ticket. I didn't. The 3/1 won. 1 ticket paid $19,000 for 50 cent.

I was shocked saying to myself how could someone has really have hit that when every prior day one single price it was 4/5 paying. The 3rd leg was actually a match race...every horse scratched so it was virtually a pick 4 as that leg was "all."

But playing smaller track has +'s and -'s. You could get 2/1...2/1...2/1...2/1...and get a $500+ payout. But typically because the win pools are so low.

The dog racing I hit 8/5...2/1...7/1...and got back $440 for $1 on Pick 3.

She walked 1200, walked 1400, and then beat the second fastest horse in the world when backing up 2 furlongs shorter within 7 days by running him down and beating him by a length.

Caviar will beat anyone up to a mile. Beyond that is a pure guess.

If Hay List went overseas he'd towel anyone. Poor ****er grew in the wrong era. He'd be 20 from 20 if she wasn't around. Being a superb 2nd must suck.

Anyways, i want it to happen just to see the betting markets. Frankel 1.6 BC evens?

i didnt look too deep into this, but you have a 6 horse field, conditional claiming never won 2 lifetime. 2 horses just broke maiden (in 15k MC, this a big step up to 25k clm), 1 horse had 1 win in 26 starts, and the 2 others like 1 win in 10-12 starts. then 1 horse with a somewhat decent resume. 1 win and 3 3rds in 9 starts. i didnt even look at PP, but what are you expecting really? cursory look and they appear much better than the field.

Nice link JO,just caught the replay myself and that was flat out nasty. Hard to say without watching prior races if the track was an issue,it was obv wet,saw the #1 out of the gate touch nose to ground real rough as well.

that looked bad - hope all are ok.

it looked like all of the horses except the #6 who started the chain reaction were ok. i saw maybe 5-6 that got back up and ran. they were real freaked, though. the rider of the #5 Mitchell Snow looked like he had the worst fall. he got thrown into the ground pretty good there.

that track is a mess like 40% of the time. it must rain/snow like 200 days a year out there.
