Very nice win by The Factor. Mike Smith one win away from 9,000.

FWIW...

Baffert/Garcia are 8/8 together over past week.

If you make less than $14,500 a year you can submit a W-2 or tax return by mail or fax to Aqueduct and they'll grant you special busto rates. Gotta go to live tellers for that though.

Solid, all things considered probably not the strongest field though but he got it done. Interested to see what the figures come back like. Shared Property needs to find a decent post position, could be an interesting sleeper if he makes it into the KDerby.

The Factor a fast sprinter, who up until this point has only raced on dirt and synthetic surfaces may attempt to take on Black Caviar in the Diamond Jubilee at Ascot, after a possible race in the Golden Shaheen in Dubai.

They toyed with The Factor as a possible derby horse last year, but have begun to realize his full potential as a sprinter. While Baffert is'nt enthralled by the idea of Ascot, the majority owner of the horse George Bolton is toying with the idea.

This is a horse that ran 6f (1200m) in 106.98 to break his Maiden, of course THE TRACK WAS playing REDICULOUSLY FAST at the time, but still it shows you what he can offer.

Could he beat Black Caviar? I Doubt it, but it would add more interest to the race from an American stand point and probably increase the global pari-mutual pools on the race.

Black Caviar is a brilliant horse, but lets not forget what a toll Meydan puts on horse. For a horse to carry its form across contients & the equator is asking alot. Very few are ever the same after doing it. For example, look at Invasor, he was an absolute freak, he never lost here, but the 1 trip he took to dubai, he ran dead last. Theres been more great horses to fail in dubai than succeed in winning. We saw more horses succeed in doing it back n the late 90's & early 2000's, & that was due to the fact that the UAE's drug testing sucked, so the americans & south africans could use alot more drugs to get there horses in the mood to run, this phenomenon ended when the UAE racing officials got hip to the fact of what was going on, & the following year we saw Brass Hat (Buff Bradley's horse) who ran 2nd in the world cup get DQ'd for a post race urine sample positive. So now adays when a trainer takes 1 cross continent to dubai & wins, u have to respect that trainers abilities cos its literally impossible to get a horse to peak after going thru all the travel & quarentine process. So im jus sayin, dont expect her to freak when she races at Meydan.

That George Bolton is a weird dude. Baffert looked annoyed by him in the winner's circle yesterday.

Gulfstream Race 12

$50WP #7

Total $100

Since running Feb8th Ian Wilkes has worked him twice & both workouts were by far the best workouts this colt has ever had, the reason that means so much to me here is he shows up wearing Blinkers for the 1st time. Im making the assumption Wilkes threw the blinks on for that 1st workout after the feb8th race & he saw the improved time in his workout & decided to race with them. Hopefully

let me say i'm shocked that discreet dancer got favoritism in the FoY over Union Rags. i mean i'm happy to get 6/5 there. but i'm shocked. no way pace was going to be as slow as his previous race.

Thank you sir. Saves you $$ too when you play P4/P5s. As if you hit the first couple of legs you don't have to bet or chase money into the next races .
