Also. What's the best site (including any possible bonuses etc..) for me to bet the ponies from my house on the internet, It'd be great to be able to do smaller bets than I'm allowed at the track/sattelite betting places too.

Also..how do you guys like 3/4/9 tri box in the 7th race @ DM? I like the 9 as a long shot. talamo on a british horse on turf
5dimes for micro plays, they got some pretty crazy incentives for playin the horses there, like 10% bonus on all your win wagers at major tracks, so if yo u bet $20 win on a 3/1 horse, you would normally get back $80, but at 5dimes, u would get $88.. They have rebates too, but ive only jus opened an accnt there, so havent explored it totally.. However if your wanting to play tourneys, they best site is twinspires handsdown, no micro play, except where .50c can b played and .10c sup, and your money is in the parimutal pools there.. Also, its LEGAL, licensed, bonded and insured.

Questions about 5dimes.

Just looked at the site. Appears to be a sportsbetting site. Have there been good experiences depositing/cashing out? I don't like that it's not US based...but I do like the fact that I could just play around w/ micro amounts of cash.

Questions about Twinspires.

Checked it out. Looks really good. $100 bonus for $500 in play, now I'm not sure if I'll make that kinda bets in 30 days...so I'm not sure if I want to sign up here for the time being. I really like that it's LEGAL and part of the pari..so it's just like playing at the track. Do I get updated totes etc...here?

What other sites are legal/insured/not going to have any problems transfering etc...

Also, what about this TVG site? It's linked on the DMTC site and suggests to go with them.

TVG is insured, but if you dont make $2500 worth of plays a month, its $19.95, this enables you to get unlimited race replays, live video to all tracks.. You can not pay the $19.95/mnth, but your gonna get charged .25c per bet (its a joke). Both twinspires and tvg are bonded and insured. Neither do player to player transfers though, and for the life of me, i cant figure out why, they are losing action by not offering this to patrons imo. TVG rewards are ok, they have a partnership with SKYMALL so u can buy stuff with your points from them, or u can get cash back. Twinspires tho are always doing things for the players, if i were u, id put ur money there.. Sounds like a small deposit for you on 5dimes (just for ****s giggs) and ur main action going thru twinspires. If you meant bank transfers in and out of ur checking, its pretty much instantly and thats for both sites.. GL

awesome man. thanks for the input.

that sucks about player to player transfers...

I think I'll do 5dimes for my exotics (and the ability to bring those ticket prices down...i would have loved to try my pick 6 for $14 instead of $144 ystday if they do a dime bet there)what's the lowest bet there? EVEN WHEN I GO to the track.

I'll also be able to play on there more...I usually keep a $100 br when I go TO the track (minus food/drinks which is usually 10$ish) So if min bets are 0.10 then I could just play for fun from home for $10/day like I was there.

Twin spires sounds good as well tho.

****...well, still that's alot cheaper to play than normal. Maybe $25 br/day would act like my track BR.

Does anybody know or understand what the Woodbine Exactor and Triactor (Canadian for Exacta and Trifecta) carryovers are all about. I know this isn't the first time I've seen this, but I've never investigated until today, and my investigation has come up empty. Does this apply to a single race? and How the h do you wind up with carryovers on the exacta and trifecta in the first place? are my primary questions.

Never heard of an ex or tri carryover, cos every track ive ever played jus pays 1st 2nd all or 1st all all, & ive never seen an exacta pay all, but i do know that the meadows harness track does carryovers on their supers. Exactor Triactor is canuck term for exacta, trifecta. Europe exacta= Forecaster, & Europe Tri= Tricaster..

I assume Woodbine has multiple pick 3's. Anyone know which race this carries over to?

I'm also confused. I've seen exotics where you have to pick the trifecta in back to back races, and that carries over sometimes. But everything I've looked up indicates exactors and triactors are simple exactas & trifectas. They paid out exactas in all of yesterday's races, so I dk how it carried over.

late pk4 at DMR

R 6: 5,8
R 7: 1,4,5,8
R 8: 2,6

0.50 play $16.

ur thinking of a Twin-Tri... you play the trifecta in the twin tri desginated race,(dog tracks are the only pari mutal places doing it now days, except for Riduoso Downs which offers quarters & some Tbreds),if you hit the tri, you get a payoff for the winning tri (always pays less than what a normal tri would pay), you then get an exchange ticket for every $1 correct combination you had that you use in the 2nd half (usually twin tri starts in the 3rd race and 2nd half ends in like 5th or 6th race), if you had a $1 exchange ticket you would take your exchange ticket to the window and say for example "give me a 2-1-4 straight. Say it comes 2-1-4, you would have the twin tri jackpot or split it with any1 else that has a 2-1-4, if nobody has correct combination, it carrys over. The way my local dog track does theres is, on every thursday of every week, its a mandatory payout and if nobody had hit it during the week at all, it always reached its cap (15k).. Which as much as i hate dog racing, its a really good spot on those thurs nites cos you invest in it and if you hit the first half, you get paid and then ur on a free roll, then in the 2nd half you got ur shot at glory and then if nobody hits it on thurs nite, every1 that had an exchange ticket, gets to split the 15k pot.. Only time i bet the dogs is when this happens on thursdays nites..

right, twin-tri. some tracks have fancy names for it... i thought woodbine's "trifector" might be that but it doesn't look like it is. do you have any idea what the 55k carryover there is about?

i got a 100% deposit bonus on $50 offer in the mail, did it and met the requirement (2x rollover I think. Sweet deal.) but was then told by support that the promotion had been discontinued. i had to write them an angry email threatening to tell everyone they were a scam site. got a reply back from a manager saying oh sorry for the mixup. so make sure you read all the stipulations of the promotion and follow them exactly, and you should be ok.

besides that, they're prompt with payouts, and their phone customer support was good the one time i tried them.

woodbine starts a new pick 3 pool every race (except the last two races) so the carryover should be paid off on race 3 of the next racing day.... (although i dont see woodbine having a carryover for the pick3 on wednesday :S)

Im still stumped on this whole woodbine carryover biz. My carryover board does show a 55k tri carryover & 52k exacta co & a 5.5k pick3 co, but yet theres no race info, my 1st notion was perhaps it was on the harness side, but no harness at the mo. A pari-mutal puzzler

I guess our only hope is to pull up the simulcast feed tonight and see if they flash any snazzy graphics that will reveal clues to their crazy Canadian mysteries.

The Pick Six pool started with a $239,490 carryover from Sunday, July 24 when nobody had all six. There was a total of $1,629,363 in new money “chasing” the bet July 27, bringing the grand total in the pool to $1,868,853.
