Was capping the stakes race at EMD and caught this one. Horse came in dead last, so the layoff wasn't good to him, or he's a horse that's d-u-n done!

Taking a break from horse racing for anywhere from.1 to 3 months. Ill still be monitoring boards. Gl all.

Well im out the door to go play some cards, but i did glance at the late PK4,and i saw a horse in the 7th BBLB ridden by CS at a ML of 8-1. Now im just going off memory here because i have not saw the PP's to todays card, but this horse has some late closing turn of foot. Believe he use to run often at 7F if i remember right. He has a shot at this level if CS doesnt let him fall too far back and gives him too much ground to make up. She can get him to settle in about 4th or 5th and a clear run around the turn he has a shot, and at a fair ML of 8-1 to boot. Set the conditional at $20 Win not under 4-1,2 min to post.

Ok fellas, time for another late pick4 at Hollywood, looks like chalk until the last race, but who knows maybe we can get a nice price--

Race 5- Alot of pigs ( 1-22 type horses) in here to choose from. Robbies War just broke his maiden but did so in a slow time. Dont like Shediak or Honour Family, so I will go 4 deep using Tammarack Smarty,Tribal Nation,Nextdoorneighbor( blinkers on) and i horse i have been following for awhile Teatfiller ( note the jockey who always rides him, atinkson, is off for Quinoez)

Race 6- Looks like a chalky race, I dont like the first time starter Crown Royal as Hoffman isnt very good first time out. I think this race goes through Bob Baffert, I will be using Dubber and Indian Knight. Im not in love with the Bejerano horse, Channel Surf, hes coming off a big layoff and might need a race. An interesting horse was the first time starter Frenzo, his works say no chance, but he entices Rosario to ride him, who could of stayed on the baffert horse Dubber. Also the number 2 horse debuts for a trainer I have never heard of but comes in with two very quick works. So Im going 2 deep, using both Baffert horses.

Race 7- The million dollar question here is what to do with Midnight Interlude. Hes trying turf for the first time, and will prob be the fave, do you take the short price and cross your fingers or try and take a stand against him? I dont like Moment of Weakness hes a deep closer and doesnt look like hell have much of a pace to close into. Surreys star is interesting but i will be going 2 deep, using Midnight Interlude and Temples Door.

Race 8- Let me start off with saying I HATE crispy corey, bryan daniel, and the Full lavino. Theyre proflic $$ burners and if they happen to win this race it will be without my money. I will be using the 2 first time starters, Nutmeg ned and Unusual Jazz, Rosie Agreed, and a longshot I have be following for his past few races, Wheels of Justice. At 30/1 hes worth a shot. Id rather use a horse like him than the other pigs in here.

Good luck fellas :-)

Race 8 at EMD is the Budweiser Handicap, a 1 mile race over the 1 mile oval here on dirt. The first real build up to the G3 Longacres Mile.

Noosa Beach is the 4/5 ML favorite sporting a 12-3-2 record from 18 races and earnings of 425,000.

Noosa Beach's Beyer figures Since the start of last year:

4/18/10: 90 (5.5f) 1st
5/16/10: 95 (6f) 1st
6/20/10: 97 (8f) 1st
7/11/10: 93 (6.5f) 2nd
8/1/10: 95 (9f) 1st
8/22/10: 99 (8f) 1st G3 Longacres Mile beating Jersey Town (G1 Cigar winner)
9/12/10: 97 (8f) 1st
4/22/11: 94 (6.5f) 1st
5/22/11: 96 (6.5f) 1st

They have until the end of the month to pay the early nomination fee for the Breeders Cup, which IF they win the Longacres Mile they will get back anyway due to it being a win and your in race (or at least most of it as AFAIK). Given how weak the older divison looks this year, I think the owners would be taking a great shot (hell its a once in a lifetime shot) to race in the BC dirt mile.

The horse typically races right up on the lead or right off the lead, and pulls away in the stretch.

Could be an easy single in today's pick 5 for deeper tickets.
