I'm down to two plays tonight after the scratch of Nashoba's Excess in Race 1.

Incidentally, both are in the late Pick 4, and you didn't use either one of them. Can't root for you tonight.....nothing personal.

Also, wheres the best/cheapest place to buy PPs? DRF.com has a bunch of package deals but I would only be interested in 2-4 cards per week.

Thanks.
try brisnet.com. if you gamble with twin spires the pp's are free.

Well I play more than you but I used to go to my OTB andas I wanted to bet more seriously on baseball I shopped around for a bookie that would offer good value for both baseball and horses.

I chose 5dimes because they are very interesting for baseball but mostly because their "bonus" is better compared to other bookies. Most bookies seem to offer like 8% of your exactas bet in free bets the week after (and 3% for straight bets). This means you better play a lot. At 5dimes they better the return by 10% for all your bets on major tracks. If a exacta pays 100$ at the track you'll get 110$ at 5dimes which I think is pretty good! Of course this implies that you must win !

For what I see 5diems is not perfect though. There's a fee for your cashout (15$) and I talked with their Customer Service and they may not be the nicer people around... still this bonus on horse races seems to be the most advantageous.

Thanks guys, I'm doing some late pick fours at Belmont today but, torn on going super deep in other races and singling Rachel Alexandra or trying to beat her and invest ~$400 to go for the big bucks...

I do think Pletcher and bin Saroor's fillies have a shot.

I agree with throwing her out here and hoping for a head bob of wall to block her in...i like Edgar Prado's mount here to make a run on the rail...let us know what you end up doing kev!

I assume there is no place betting. I know if i was the NYRA I would of paid them to scratch...There would of been a huge minus place pool.

I agree, it looks like a chalky p6 but, could still pay near 10k, imo.

I'm singling "underground" in the 7th race.. think i'm gonna go deep in first two legs.. still studying.
