Well Mets, you have the confidence part down,i like that, and its an important part of being successful at this horse racing business which is a sob to beat. Being honest with yourself, and trusting your ability are 2 of the biggest things that have always helped me. As for your system question,i mean i dont know what type of player you are. Are you a pk3,pk4,pk6,or maybe exactas and tri's? Myself,i have got away from always being a pk4 guy,and play a lot of exactas and PK3's,and spot DD's anymore. I hit the pk4 yesterday 2xs and only invested $18 total and made $300,but those are rare. I do like to play cheap to win big though often, this is where my confidence in my ability comes in.
Kev and i speak often at length on your question though, and he is soooo much more advanced in the terminology than i am. I often describe what i am playing/doing in a race to him and he will come back and say thats called "dutching",and i didnt know what the heck he was talking about, but i came up with it obviously without knowing it,it just made sense to me. He also explained what fiberocci betting or something that he uses, again i never heard of the dang thing, lol. I dont read anybody elses books on wagering at all,i soley trust myself, and have turned a profit now for 4 years. Like today for example,i just didnt see it so i didnt play it,i tend to be selective in what i do. You have a ton of people that play many tracks, and every race, this is just a bad formula in my opinion. I play several tracks, but usually on bigger days, and concentrate on the socal circuit for the most part, even though their takeout SUCKS! Kev will hopefully chime in when he gets back from the hockey game, and like i said knows a ton more technical stuff than me. Hope i havent confused you too much
,but without knowing what type of horse wagerer you are its hard to answer. I would say though bankroll managment, selectiveness, ability, and confidence in your ability (backing your capping) are very important regardless. Best of luck Mets, look forward to some more of your posted capped cards or plays.
