Hey Kevroc
How would you open an account @ Twinspires if you lived in Nevada. Thanks

I didn't know there were restrictions.

What did their customer service rep say?

Tony McCoy on Big Bucks today at 2.30 (8 mins time), way to short of a price to back but will be interesting to see how he goes.

Denman makes his appearance today as well at 3.05, drifting in price at the minute and I will be opting for Burton Port in that one.

Good days racing.

Yea you can't, no TVG either.

Is there any option for us people in Nevada? I'm getting tired of going to the casinos to put in my bets

I just discovered 5dimes' racebook which seems to be just as good for everything except straight bets (limits too low) and I believe rebates you more than any of the licensed sites (youbet, xpressbet, ts). Carries all of the U.S. tracks I care about. IIRC though you have a lot of experience with sports betting and probably with these sites so maybe there's a reason to stay away from their racebooks?

If you try to bet a large amount they usually don't like it. Capped payouts on some suck too. I'm not even good at horse betting but just betting a couple thousand on a 12/1 shot (which went off at 2/1 and won) get me limited to $100 no duplicates at a fairly large sportsbook

The M in vegas has a pretty good program for horse bettors. I make about the same in rebate but it's just in comps and free bets instead of straight cash which sucks. The only difference is they don't care how much I bet since it's not their money.

when I was in NJ they had their own state sponsored website to bet on 4njbets or something like that. I just remember depositing being such a pain that I only did it once and ended up just betting the money on a random horse instead of having to deal with their site. Not sure if it's improved since then.

Ah, makes sense.

$20 WPS on #3 Fandino in the 5th at HP. Ran well at the start of '10 as 3YO at this distance, then had one poor outing and all of a sudden started running 1m+ where he couldn't handle the distance. 22-1 seems pretty decent.

^ oo, close to nice score. hit $0.25 exacta and tri. as you can tell i'm a big-timer wagering big $$

interestingly when I started at 5d they had $20 limits on my straight wagers but they have since been raised to $500 it looks like. they must have identified me as a fish.

I think what happens is the sportsbook don't really care too much about the horse racing aspect of their book until people start beating them at it. Since they don't want to pay attention to it they just cut people early.

Maybe if the sport was more popular they would set up something or have better lines but right now it's just really a marketing tool to get people to sign up to their site.
