Couple of questions. Blind luck is available at +125 in fixed odds bet for Kentucky Oaks. Anyone have an opinion. Also anyone interested by the head to head props.

Blind luck is a horse I think ya gotta try to beat. I'm kinda high on the 1 Its Tea Time at 15-1ml.

Anyway, if ya ask me, this is the best two days in racing - irregardless if it's a monsoon tomorrow.

Anyone playing today? CD obviously and Belmont opening day!

Going to the Derby with my wife tomorrow. I'm going to have to find me a fisherman's yellow rainsuit or something. Maybe you don't feel rain after enough tall boy beers.

I like Ice Box to coming from 20th to 1st this year as the pace should be brutal. I also like the big price on American Lion in a wire to wire style. But who knows. I didn't have Mine that Bird anywhere near my tickets last year.

The Derby is a blast and I recommend anyone from out of town putting it on their bucket list and coming one time. Your wives/girlfriends would enjoy dressing up and wearing big hats too so you'd even get credit from them.

We even have a decent 20-30 table poker room 20 minutes away in Southern Indiana.

Anyone started capping the Beulah pick 6?

I am buried today until roughly 7pm. Then I'll be researching (and drinking heavily...) tonight, betting tomorrow at Northville Downs (doors 9:30a) on my way to the D for some barbecue.

Sidney's Candy reportedly has been training with a quarter crack. He apparently did not switch leads when asked during his last workout (or maybe his last gallop...not sure which), which may indicate that he's having problems with it. Not being reported by the racing press yet, but I saw it on a message board that has proven to be VERY reliable about this sort of thing.

Even with all the defections of speed horses, the field is still stacked with frontrunners. With so many of them, I think they have to automatic tosses. In the 20 horse field, mid-pack type horses tend to get knocked around in traffic.

I think I like Awesome Act the most of the closers. His last race is a throw out - his shoe came off.

Looks like I'm all in on the Woodard entry in the first leg (that is if they name a different rider for one of them and they BOTH go postward). If one of them scratches, I need to make some difficult decisions.

I drew up a $450 ticket with the Woodard entry singled!!!

Here is a pick four for tonight.. something to take the edge off of Derby Day and Fortune Six Day..

Turf Paradise .50 late pick four ~8:27pm EST

6) 1-2-4-8-9-10
7) 2-6-7
8) 7-8-10-11-12
9) 7-9

180 combos x .50 = $90 investment

YTD (-2770)

Yikes!

I'm probably going to draw up like a $150-200 ticket. This is going to be difficult.

I have the 1 & 5 in the first half of my Oaks/ Derby Double. Would love the 1 to come in and leave me rooting for a big payout with 10 horses.

Have a show bet in on Beautition (6), but Blind Luck(5) should be the class of the field.

Really I think he is just a bad jockey for Rachel. These last 2 races the problem was he rated Rachel way too much.
