It's a pity but 2p2 is generally not about the exchange of ideas anymore, the dumb recipe copypasta and the millionaires club of successful dickheads killing off new posters desire to post here stopped that a while back.

My original response to this thread stands, your entry to successful sports betting is either find some soft outs and line grind to beat closers or learn to handicap a niche sport you can get down on. I do a bit of both and have gone from a breakeven bettor betting $100 units about 5 years ago to well, not that now. The information is still out there for anyone who wants to study and grind. I've had a ton of people PM me over the past year or two and while i've given decent information in some cases most people do not want to learn and just trying to handicap and beat NFL/EPL on Pinny by themselves with no modelling experience or particular skills and get nowhere slowly.

Also, networking is way, way more important than someone new to sports betting might suspect, I make a ton more than a lot of people more talented than me at handicapping because of my ability to get down large numbers on soft outs which is again all because of networking, if you can find whales who are stuck 6-7 figures at soft outs to place bets for you for a share of the action, chances are you're going to do a lot better than the guy grinding out 1.3% edges on sharp books.
Honest question, from a rec - How do you get paid from whales who are stuck?

Have the whale be independently wealthy and/or have an income source that isn't gambling related - there is such a thing as the businessman who bets on sport (and plays poker) and loses happily because he is a rec, and when he finds someone willing to help him win instead he's usually happy about that. Also, settle regularly, settle after the first bet that your side wins to make sure you'll get paid, etc build trust from there. Don't keep enormous balances with people, just settle up regularly, in my jurisdiction gambling winnings are tax free no having a ton of transfers between people isn't an issue as long as they're clearly marked and you make sure not to do business with people who are into anything illegal.

Obv i'm not having random broke degens place bets for me that money would disappear - like everyone else i've learned that lesson for myself although I haven't lost as much to theft as most i'd imagine

I don't want to go into too many details for obvious reasons but the answer to 'why dont people steal from you' is 'tiny deposit/run it up tiny/have them send back first before having larger sums with anyone'

The thief will steal at first chance even if it's a couple k or whatever when waiting would have yielded a bigger score

That said i've been stolen from but never more than a couple units at a time because I always deposit a single unit into the first account when someone's betting for me, then have them settle with me when I win my first bet. Anyone who is going to steal steals that first unit when it's 4 figs or more. I've maybe 2% or so of the people ive had bet for me steal from me to date. I actually got paid back two out of the three times too in the end.
