Had friend put in an 3 team parlay for me whoile he is in vegas. Bet won, but he lost
the ticket. It's an honest mistake, and I understand this stuff happens. Are there any standard and fair methods to resolve this. I was not offered anything yet. Just that he lost the ticket, sorry. ...

If it was an honest mistake and he’s your friend he should atleast pay you back what you gave him, if you gave him 100$ and he lost it then he should repay you that.

If he’s not your friend and you think he’s not being sincere then I would want the full amount of the winning ticket

It's big enough ($600) where i would like to have it.I already got my $100 back since I'm suppose to pay him if it loses and he never brought it up.

You'd be a dick to ask him to pay anything other than the 100 he's already out.

If you think he's the type that'd would lie to you and keep a winning ticket and say it's lost then you chose the wrong guy to make a bet for you.

Him not bringing it up afterwards seems suspect to me. Something important and bad happened, I would want to discuss it afterwards to make sure everything is OK. Him not bringing it up seems kind of suspect to me.

At any rate, if it's a good friend I'd not make a big deal of it. But stop using him to place bets for you.

Look at it this way. It costs you 600 dollars to get rid of him. He’s never gonna bother you again. He’s never gonna ask you for money again. He’s out of your life for 600 dollars. You got off cheap. Forget it.

Yes, they will pay ticket. He should know the time and they can verify. I think there is a 30-day hold to ensure nobody else cashes the ticket.

A friend of mine said he won a $100 two team parlay and lost the ticket. I called up the sports book. They verified the ticket. And he lost the bet.

Ticket been confirmed cashed. He texted me the betslip after bet was make. Sportsbook confirmed ticket was cashed 3 minutes after game.

His the one that checked for me and told me its been cashed. I trust he did not cashed the ticket and lied. My primary reason for the post is getting different views from other card players and bettors about whats an fair way to divide the loss. Like i said, if i agreed to hold money for an friend or anyone, i have an responsiblity to keep it safe, how far that responsibility goes is gonna be different for everyone. It had happen to me before, and i had made my friend whole. But it seems like so far, the general point of view is i should eat the loss.
