One bet I like for tomorrow.

Dundee United 6/5 away to St Johnstone in the cup.

United beat them in the league away 3-2 a few weeks back and I don't see it going any other way.
United's form has been pretty good in recent weeks and they got a good away win at Aberdeen 2-0 on Saturday, not as easy place to win at.
St Johnstone on the other hand have lost there last two games home to Rangers (2-1) and away to Killie(2-1).

Apart from that game nothing really stands out tomorrow. Hate touching the Carling cup not sure if its because I have a bad record with it or because its a very unpredictable competition.

Ok for today I got Stoke +.5 vs Portsmouth - Stoke showed me in their last match against tottenham that they can hold off a side even when they are down to ten men. This matchup screams DRAW.
stoke .5 = Risk 7 units to win 5

7625) Aston Villa Pick (+110) @ Sunderland - Villa missed a lot of chances against Wolverhampton and I think Oneil had a good chat with them. If I was to guess, something along the line of "don't underestimate your opponents and please start the friggin game like you want to win!"

RISK 5 UNITS TO WIN 5.5

i think all the foreigners(ie yanks) in this thread are forgetting that this is the league cup and alot of epl teams rest most of there players for the weekends games my advice is wait until 15 mins before the game for the starting line ups and place your bets accordingly to the teams strarting lineups as you will find alot of 1st team players not playing

Yeah marky is right - I would wait until I see the starting line ups. This cup is generally just for the reserves - many of the good teams will not risk their key players.... But I will give you the teams I have an eye on in a few mins.

Blackburn v Peterborough might offer some value. Blackburn are a shockingly high 1.72 on betfair, though you'd have to look at the starting lineup is, who has recovered from swine flu.

Allright this are the teams I have an eye on - I am not sure how and even if I combine a few of those but i will bet on some of these fixtures.

Sunderland - Aston Villa

If it wasnt for Sidwell - Villa had won their last game. They have no injury concerns and Heskey will start, who wants to prove a few things. Sunderland on the other hand will not risk Bent who has some problems with his knee ( think he twisted it). So i tend to bet on Villa.

Quote : 2.5 ( or even 2.96 )

SpVgg Greuther Fürth - VfB Stuttgart

Stuttgarts coach has been under fire lately. They lost their last 4 league games and this is the last chance for some players to show that they still got it. Because of the fact that this is a must game win for Stuttgart I don't expect them to play a weak side or a side with reserves.

Quote : 1.9

Blackburn Rovers - Peterborough United

After they conceded 5 goals against Chelsea - they will try to prove that they still got it. They may have some players unavailable due to illness but Peterborough are a weaker 2nd devision ( League One ) and Blackburn still should be to strong for them.

Quote : 1.65

Tottenham Hotspur
- Everton FC

Everton lost at the weekend and still have a lot of players missing. Tottenham will play without Defoe and will be looking for a win after the loss against Stoke. A few players will try to gain a first team place so I think they will win

Quote : 1.60

Perhaps I will have a few bucks on Sunderland or Villa to win ( laying a draw ) and perhaps a few quids on Stoke/Portsmouth win (depending on the line ups)

I will now think about how I will combine a few bets and will post them then.

Couldn't post my bets yesterday but my only multiple was succesfull.

My bet was :

Bremen - Kaiserslautern
Hoffenheim - Koblenz
Man City (-1) - S****horpe

This was a save multiple just to make up for the losses from last week.
At the weekend there will be some decent and interesting games.
For example

Arsenal v Tottenham

Burnley v Hull

Everton v Aston Villa

Fulham v Liverpool

Portsmouth v Wigan

Stoke v Wolverhampton

Sunderland v West Ham

I will not bet on all of these games but I think that there will be some good quotes with decent value.

Can't see past a win for us (Arsenal) Their 2 main threats, Defoe and Lennon both out.

Few other fancies for the weekend...

Everton - Villa DRAW @ 3.3

Stoke - Wolves Under 2.5 goals @ 1.96

GL all.

I thought Luka Modric was their main threat. Anyone have the score for Dortmund right now?

Modric wont be much of a threat while he's still recovering with a leg fracture. Harry Redknapp expressed his doubts 10 days ago.

Gunners to win for sure.

Decided to flush some money down the toilet and go for an accumulator today. I am hungover after all.

Man U (1.19) - they always win these sorts of games
Burnley (1.9) - Hull players don't like Phil Brown, probably be glad it's his last game
Stoke (1.98) - Strong at home, similar to Wolves style, will definitely beat them at their own game
Middlesbrough (1.46) - new manager FTW
Chelsea (1.44) - Who doesn't like chelsea

I took a bad beat in that arsenal over and got a push. Since when does Eduardo miss one on ones with the goalie? Today he missed 2

Very good price, where did you get it? Premier league is all over the place at the moment, I'm blaming Man City for upsetting it's equilibrium.

I got a HUGE bet on LA Galaxy to beat Chivas USA .... I have no idea why they are underdogs (being the #1 seed and all) but I think that the bookies think that LA is the away team when they actually share a stadium with Chivas ... LOL ... gl to me 1 time plz
