yes. When you are on 70%+ Unders and +AHCs (not that there's anything wrong with that) these things happen. More importantly is that SBO and pinny can be beaten without team news research and viewing of matches! I only follow Gazo if I can find a better line and the line he posts hasn't moved. I simply don't like playing against Pinny and SBO in major markets. Maybe my blind faith in these two as the sharpest books is wrong but it seems like a good policy to me.

What's the story with ******, why do people use them etc, I did a small comparison of sbo to 118 and found 118 to be better, but Pinny is better than both of them.

I'm usually pretty stubborn with my lines but I did bail on the +2 and jumped on the 2.5 for the better price before the game. Stupid not to. I hope everyone does keep shopping around before the games. A 3u bet I'm expecting to cover a very high percentage of the time as opposed to the 1u (obv). If the "push' comes on a +2 bet then so be it, I don't usually hitch the goal line up to 2.25 for a lower price in these spots, unless I get the +2.5 for better price scenario above. At this stage of the season I try to watch as much as I can. I'm lucky enough to have a very good memory. By the time it gets to November I've usually got all the mental notes I need for betting purposes. I can then actually watch only the games I think I'll enjoy (as a huge fan of the sport) to save burning me out. I'd soon lose interest otherwise haha. Then it's mad viewing January/February again for the transfer window changes (sigh).

Admittedly I've not watched nearly enough of the games I've needed to this season thus far. Usually concentrating on the lower Scottish/English league stuff where my stakes are higher.

Are you basing this on your suspicions seeing the foreign guy trying to make the large bet? At betfair the line seems steady around 1.70 since it opened.

not rigged - not going to into reasons why/ palermo have underperformed this year but have shown signs of performing to last season's level. They were 1.70 at home to Cagliari Calcio so the 1.80 tops in this match was very very good. Palermo are unbeaten at home in 26 apart from Inter and Lecce just don't win in the Serie A.

What do you guys think of this one? You might remember my reasoning for the same bet vs the swiss which went over 2.5 despite the solid Swiss defence and low scoring form. But generally England do well vs these lesser sides, plenty of goals and players with a bit of hunger and something to prove. Not to mention England perform much better and score more in front of the home crowd. I just think 1.7 looks quite generous.

I can't decide if the England fans traditional irrational optimism is still valid or if they're indulging in some irrational pessimism right now. Betting against the prevailing mood of the English public is my most effective football strategy to date.
