If not no problem but I'd like to reply.

There's an article called ,'Mugs and Millionaires'which I assume any serious soccer bettor has seen but if not it's well worth a read and explains things better than I could in a short post.

Yep. Of course it's gonna be very hard to find an edge in really big games. Most serious soccer bettors I know tend to bet on non league soccer,Scottish football and Leagues 1 and 2.

Cheers

Will reply later. Sorry been away some time.

Regards

Hey,

Still pretty much in a hurry. So i got to keep it short.

Ofc i know the article. I have done quite some resarch about other punters in the years i have been one. I know many people in the industry from punters big and small, professionals and odds makers/compilers. Long story short: you never stop learning - if you do you fall behind in a very fast changing market.
So long for platitudes.

I make avg roi of about 8-12% in the last 2-3 years of betting football. I do add some other sports every now and then (tennis and boxing mostly). I bet horses as well - but thats a very different animal (pun intended).

2 of the most important things i learned:
- Size matters when it comes to betting.
- Picking a nieche is the most important thing. No such thing as betting adjusted markets. You will alwys lose. Always. (Thats how bookies earn their money btw.)

Sorry if that sounded a little cocky. Its not my intention...

Im very happy to discuss serious football betting!

Hope thats what you wanted to hear. If anything special pm me.

Regards,

I'm new. I'm going to post my predictions for the EPL games for 9/30-10/2. I did not see in the FAQ that this was a no-no. If so, please let me know and I will remove. Just a little disclaimer. I'm not betting on these. I've been testing an updated prediction model and I'm pretty confident in these picks, but I'm not betting on these yet and neither should you since I'm new and an idiot. Cheers.

The projections below are mine alone based on math alone. Note that I have a No Bet if I feel it is too close. These are subject to revision once we get closer because of injury news, etc.

Here is the format:
Home Team / Away Team | Projected Result | Projected Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Everton / Crystal Palace | Everton | No Bet

Swansea / Liverpool | Liverpool | Over

Watford / Bournemouth | Watford | No Bet

West Ham / Middlesbrough | No Bet | No Bet

Hull / Chelsea | No Bet | Over -----This is a game that Chelsea could actually Draw / Lose if you wanna take a flyer, but I'm just avoiding.

Sunderland / West Brom | West Brom | No Bet

Man United / Stoke | Man United | No Bet

Leicester / Southampton | Leicester | No Bet

Tottenham / Man City | Man City |No Bet ---- De Bruyne likely missing this makes this more chance for a draw as he is the engine at Man City but I still think Man City win here.

Burnley / Arsenal | Arsenal | Under

Hi,

Some tips on Spread betting:

Finland vs Croatia:
Corners Squared: Sell @ 101 1p

Albania vs Spain:
Corners Squared: buy @ 111 3p (really confident in this one)

Finland Vs Croatia:
Loss of 43 Points this is disappointing as there were only 3 corners in the first half and was looking good, there were 9 corners in the second half including 2 of them after 90th min.

Albania vs Spain:
Still really confident in this and believe I will make my losses back on this one as the line up in good for corners and I will be wagering 3 Points on this one.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I should make clear what my motive is in asking how much you make.

I bet on football/soccer and I believe that the way I bet on soccer is the best way to bet on soccer. And I'm in the habit, out of genuine passion for what I do, of telling people I meet who are interested in betting that; and I don't want to be misleading them.

One of the reasons I believe this is because it's so hard to make much money betting on 90 minute markets(I don't bet on such markets you understand).

Having read your reply I'm still happy to tell people (I meet) that the best way to bet on soccer is to concentrate solely on long term markets as they are far easier to beat.

However I'd be grateful if you or anyone else could let me know what an "adjusted market"is?

But in lieu of an answer if it means any market where the weight of money has moved the price then I'm sorry but I couldn't disagree more with your assertion.

However it may be that we are talking at cross purposes of course.

I have mentioned in a previous post on this thread that ,despite the fact that I believe that it's very hard to beat 90 minute soccer markets consistently, there are situations or opportunities that arise that are profitable ,they just don't occur often enough.

A good example of what I mean occurs at 6pm London time today.

Sirius play Frej at home in Sweden. Bet 365 are 5-1 the draw and 18-1 Frej.

Both these prices are so clearly value that I wonder how they can even exist for more than a few minutes.

Interestingly enough the odds on Frej were no greater than 4-1 on Saturday morning and the reason they have gone up so much is obviously to do with the situation.

(Had AFC United failed to win on Saturday Frejs price would not be more than 4 or 5 to 1.)

Todays Champions League match Man City - Barcelona (2.8; 3.55; 2.4).
Any good tips?

I saw some tipsters suggesting picks on soccer with very low odds like at 1.5, 1.67 (-200, -150 american). It looks like crappy picks without value. But I am kinda new and maybe that is ok to fire at soccer with such low odds.

So can you find value in those in soccer or you better wait for 1.9 and stuff like that?

Would you have bet Germany at 1.5 against San Marino?
Even 1.1 has value.

In the past few days, Spurs went from being sizeable underdogs to slight favourites now vs. Monaco.

I don't remember such a big line move in Champions or Europa this season..
