no imo. championship is incredibly strong. obviously Newcastle have the parachute payments and are favourites but that doesn't negate the fact the other two relegated teams have it as well, Newcastle will struggle to retain their best players, morale can drop incredibly quickly on spells of poor form and new buys need to gel immediately and actually be worth their transfer fee in such a competitive league. 2-1 just doesn't represent good value for me

out of curiosity, when teams get relegated, do they basically lose all their players?

Has anything changed in the past couple of days for the Germany/France Eurocup match? Not sure why the line has changed so much against Germany for the PK and ML to win this match. Lot of $ coming in on France I guess? They're obviously the healthier team.

generally lose the players with ambition and superior skill set. they can retain high wage mediocre ones as they have the capital in the form of the parachute payments to continue paying their wages. they can also retain the long term players that have an affinity with club, players coming to the end of their career and some young talents that would prefer another year of guaranteed first team place to showcase their talents and get a move at the end of the season to a top top club.

Got some on 1st H Wales to win @ 5.25, Wales to win in reg time @ 4.0, tie @ 3.10. Think there's good value on Wales to win 1st H at those odds, they've been leading at H in all of their matches so far, majority of their goals have come early.

Prob more on tie at H the way this game is playing out so far.

Well I was really hitting em today lol, the fked up part was I had to work during the 2nd H so I had to DvR it and after a long BS day at work I come to see Bronaldo and company drop a couple goals within the first few mins of the 2nd H and Wales never recovers. Glad I got that Deutschland future at least even tho its gonna be a tough road.

Do we like any plays for Deutschland/France? I have a future going so we know who I'm cheering for, but any other good spots?

It's not gonna be easy for Deutschland, France seems to be in better form and has less injuries/suspensions but ya gotta like whoever wins this match to win the title.

i like the germans at their odds. france have been hot and cold struggling against Albania, Romania etc while the germans have been germans and been consistent. I think everyone is getting a bit excited that france trounced a weak Iceland team that got through an easy group and got past a ****e England team.

Def agree, that Iceland romping was way over exaggerated. Germany is good at bouncing back too after horrible performances, that last game hopefully lit a fire under their azz, if they even need it.

U like them at odds to win in RT or do u mean win the whole thing?

That Sweinsteiger handball was such a freak thing but refs obv were favoring France and was it just me or did they miss at least 1-2 calls that would of gave Germany free kicks? 2-0 has got to be one of the most unlikely final score lines especially w/a 65/35 possession in favor of Germany, they also had 6 shots on goal to France's 7 wow.

[ ]Germany to win Eurocup
[ ]Germany to beat France in RT
[ ] Tie in RT
[ ] Germany to win 2nd H
[ ] Tie in 2nd H

That was fun.

So who do we like in the Finals? Obv France has got to be the better team, and has home field advantage, but there is this Bronaldo needs a trophy to add to his resume, Portugal has never beat France revenge scenario that is kind of interesting. If Portugal is somehow able to upset, you'd gotta think it would have to be in extra time or most likely PKs imo.

Why can't they win in regular time? France haven't exactly got a defence of world beaters. Their vulnerability has been concealed in this tourney by a stacked and governing midfield. But should the midfield perform below par, Portugal could have a decent no of chances. I wouldn't take them at 4.5 to win- it just isn't high enough. But just putting it out there for those that might be considering betting the farm on France.

football is the worst thing in the universe on par with betting horses, any one that bets the farm even on a 90% supposed lock on football is an idiot.

didn't Lester just win a whole league as the 5000 to 1 under dog or some thing, that right there is all you need to know about logic of football betting.

that said, France inside the distance (90mins)

Portugal v France
Match Result
France 23/20

Total stake
£ 30.00
Estimated return
£ 64.50

Full stake
£ 30.00

Full estimated return
£ 64.50

I think collectively in this Euro we have gotten crushed. So whatever you guys are thinking on betting I believe it is +EV to bet the other side. If it wasn't for Copa America I'd be close to 16 units down for the Euros.

lol, this is football betting...

supposed serious advantage to frances attacking game, Portugal lose like 6 out of 8 but into the finals... huge supposed edge to france, think even home advantage.

Portugal quickly loses their key player they they are depending on?

still 0-0 at full time wtf?

Looks to be maybe the same at end of extra?

least I can put down the last football bet I ever make and glad I never got stupid and lumped £200 on France at 21/20 in full 90 min's.

if you seriously try to bet football to win you are idiot, research as much as you like don't mean diddly squat.
