either you answered your own question and theses bets are +EV or you're mistaking +EV with currently winning. i dont have any data on 1.5 totals so i cant really help with analyzing this strategy

if o2.5 or o2 or whatever is +ev, then o1.75 or o1.5 is most likely +ev also (the difference is miniscule), if pinnacle or asians have the price, which is most of the times not true for o/u 1.5 market.
that said 1.5 market is just so heavily juiced, that one can definetly find better value on mainstream market.
