Alright I just booked RSL at 3.0 for a win in regulation. I didn't run it through my model, but I'm extremely confident that it has RSL better than 1/3 of the time since it rated them significantly better than the LAG and it's a neutral site. TBH it may be spew since I have no explanation for smart money failing to compensate but I think the LAG are super overrated by the public and pundits.

Been a while since I talked Champions League on here, but have just finished placing my bets and see some real value in 2 of the home teams:-

Rangers @ 2.7 vs VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday
Bordeaux @ 2.8 vs Juventus on Wednesday

Rangers do not play fantastic football, not by any means, but here they play a very poor Stuttgart team imo. Since the end of October they have gone on a pretty decent run of form, both domestically and in there 1-1 draw away in Romania at Urziceni, who play some very decent football indeed. Stuttgart haven't won in their last 10 matches domestically or in europe, racking up 5 losses in a row during this time. Although Sevilla and Unirea destroyed Rangers at Ibrox already in this group, Rangers have picked up steam and imo should have beaten Stuttgart in Germany (finished 1-1). Rangers sit bottom of the group and financially will want to stay in Europe as long as possible. Here they can beat stuttgart and move 2 points ahead of them knowing Stuttgart would then have to beat a very good Unirea side at home in their last group game (can't see Rangers ever winning away at Sevilla). The atmosphere will also be electric at a 50k capacity Ibrox as it always is in Europe and I expect them to get fully behind their team from 1st minute to last. Take the very decent price on Rangers.

Bordeaux have some high quality players in their team this season with the likes of French international star Gourcuff in midfield, Chamakh, and Plasil. I don't get the chance to watch much Ligue 1 football but did watch the full game where they beat Bayern 2-0 away in Munich and was thoroughly impressed. Since Lyon a few years ago, I have never said this with any real confidence about any French team in Europe, but I do like this group who seem to gel very nicely together. Juventus obviously need no introduction to the sheer quality in depth they have throughout the team, with golden boy Del Piero still ticking along nicely. Bordeaux do not want to have to go to Maccabi Haifa to try and secure top spot in the group. I can see them being well up for this come Wednesday night and the price shows some real value on the back of destroying Bayern both home and away. Take Bordeaux.

Rangers getting a draw at Urziceni counts as decent form ? , the game screams draw for me unless Smith abandons the 4-5-1 and puts Boyd and Miller on from the start. Watching them on a weekly basis there results flatter them and what looks like good results just paper over the cracks, 1-1 again would be fair on the state of both the sides.

I'm an Aberdeen season ticket holder and I still bet Rangers. Nuff said? Roll on this weekend

Thanks for the picks gazo i must say i havnt done any research yet but i like the look of the bordeaux price. They are a very good footballing side and should be strong enough to see off juventus at home. Not so sure about rangers though they'v let me down in the past and i think i'll stay away from the game.

On the 4th Nov a site gave evens for Liverpool to finish in top 4 '09/10
A week later (after Liverpool 2-2 Birmingham) the same site changed the odds to 10/11
Now the site in question is offering 5/6 (following this weekend's Liverpool 2-2 Man City)

On 4/11/09 they were 2 points from 4th, now they are 5 points from 4th.

I'm relatively new to sportsbetting, but is the site probably viewing the odds offered on the 4th as a mistake?

Possibly but they will be looking at the results of not just Liverpool but all of the 6/7 teams that could finish in top 4

2.16 on rubin kazan @ home to dinamo kiev. What u guys think any value? they looked really solid at the back against barcra @ home when i saw them play and they looked threating going forward so im thinkin they can beat kiev.

Top 4 in EPL should be a lot more entertaining this year. Luckily I got a lot of action at the start of the season laying them to win the premiership. Have to wait a while for the monies but still took enough to make it easily worth the wait. Gotta love the Scouser faithfuls

I'm sorry but I really like the price on Kiev here. Very impressive 3-0 win over Shakhtar in the league at the weekend. After some thought I just passed tho.

Good luck as always however you bet Keyroy

Just want to thank all the Betfair mugs betting on Lolerpool to qualify at ridiculous odds starting from the end of the game in Lyon leading up to halftime today ...

Makes me think that people bet on stuff without understanding all the tie-breaking criteria ...

Out of sixteen teams that played CL on Tuesday, ten failed to score. This surely must be a record.

I was just about to post, asking any thoughts on fulham 2nite, i think theres some value there, they are a strong side and are good at home. Blackburn improved recently but i think they might find this one too tough, plus their assistant manager is in charge as sam allardyce is unwell.

Attention my opinion is not founded on any facts atm:

- I think both Fulham and Everton are quite good picks. I go with Fulham because of your facts listed above.

Agree on Fulham ... seems like good value against a poor traveling Blackburn side. One thing that worries me is Blackburn's recent success at Craven Cottage ... having said that h2h stats aren't everything and I'll be backing Fulham ...
