Well thats thoroughly disappointing, I mean he's a commentator so the first part of the comment is fair enough but the 'we should all forget about this' feels like it may have been fed to him by Kespa or at the very least is a dumb thing to say, 'Kespa should issue a statement clearing him of wrongdoing if he did nothing wrong' would make more sense

Creator vs Soulkey line got taken down way early today, I have a bet on SK -1.5 but no weird line move that I saw anyway so I assume they just got the game starting time wrong and no one there to monitor it or w/e

So that's interesting

Cancelled before the match happened

Does anyone know which way the steam went? I was watching the first series and didn't see it.

Come on HerO get the job done

Also first time Pinnacle has cancelled action PRIOR to a match being played after accepting bets. Kudos to them. I've emailed asking what the closing line was; lines were roughly Soulkey -300 and Soulkey -1.5 -125 last I saw, didn't catch the direction the line movement went.

I had Soulkey ML -340 yesterday, and i think i saw line moving even deeper, to like -370'ish maybe, but it was still yesterday

Didnt catch the latest action or the closing line.

It was -300 and -285 the two times I looked today. I had Soulkey -125 on the -1.5 but I wasn't watching the lines live just before they got taken down

Oh so it was moving towards Creator at some point? Interesting.

Still sucks to not knowing the closing line though.

It was only minor steam

Apparently one of the players was an 8-1 fav in map 1 before line went down but KOVU from TL who said he saw it didnt make it clear which player the steam was on

So Creator wins. I need to see what the closing line was now the dude who posted it on TL has disappeared without clarifying

Okay so overall match of Soulkey - Creator had odds as I remember ~1.6 on soulkey winning and ~2.x on creator winning. However the Map 1 odds were 8x on Soulkey winning. I realize my post before was completely wrongly worded. I did not get to screenshot as I was trying to bet myself and wasn't allowed since it kept updating lines (with odds being even more skewed) - and then shortly after the entire match dissapeared.

So seems like Soulkey was +700 map1 and was throwing.

Our last line for the match on Soulkey was -219 and on Map 1 Creator was -290

Huk talking about matchfixing in korea, interesting

Yeah I just saw that in the TL thread

Hopefully this is the thing that pops the bubble

Pretty sad now, we potentially have as matchfixers

Marineking, San, Super, Soulkey, Innovation, Yoda off the top of my head and potentially more. Alive vs Dark and Terror vs Byul lines did weird stuff too but probably more to confuse Pinnacle's algorithm

Really dissapointed @Wolf, i understand he has a personal angle of keeping his job so its in his best interest that the whole thing "goes away", but cmon.

Also, today's case is somewhat additionally interesting because it was fixed towards the underdog. So far my assumtions were that its probably only weaker players who cant make money straight up are involved (like mkp, yoda, super), but this void widens the range of players.

If the soulkey is throwing, its hard to say which players can be "safe" and excluded from any suspicions.

Finals time

SKT vs KT should probably be free from matchfixing due to a) kespa teams and b) all-kill format so other than first match players dont know who they face. Also, more prizemoney on the line etc

Match 1: Dark vs Flash on Expedition Lost

Zerg favoured map. Much better ZvT form for Dark. Dark should be a pretty substantial favourite, although the Swarmhost nerf hurts the Z meta a lot in the lategame

I think Dark is something like a -180 fav here in a bo1.

Match 2: Vaani

Good TvZ and ZvP map if Dark wins, and KT won't be fielding TY most likely due to their core of Stats/Zest/Life remaining so i'd assume they pick Life second if Dark wins. Life's probably a small favourite in a ZvZ here. Problem for KT is it means they only have Protoss players left to field if they field Life here

Map 3: Merry Go Round

Good Zerg map for all matchups so makes even more sense to field Life in Map 2 if SKT win the first map. Dream has good TvZ and TvP so would make sense to field him here if they're saving Innovation for their ace. soO would make sense too to ZvZ with Life as his ZvZ is solid.

Map 4: Overgrowth

Pretty decent map for whoever survives soO vs Life if thats the matchup. Again, decent Zerg map but relatively balanced. If soO is out, it makes sense to fire either Stats or Zest here depending which of the two has prepared more for Innovation. If it's Life out, i'd say it's time for SKT to fire Dream here.

Map 5-7 from here it depends what the score is. I guess KT are planning to stick with Zest as their ace and SKT plan to use Innovation last, with the presumed lineups being Flash/Stats/Zest/Life vs Dark/soO/Innovation/Dream

On paper, Dream is weakest to TvT, Flash has bad TvZ and Dark has good ZvT so SKT have an advantage.

That said, Stats, Zest and Life are all streaky players who can go on huge winning streaks. I think it's going to come down to whether KT's players perform at their best. The matchups will fall poorly for them most likely, but their non-Flash players are more capable of going on a run and getting 3 kills or an all-kill.

Without knowing the first matchup i'd be tempted to take KT at evens, but knowing the first matchup it's going to be a 1-0 lead for SKT a lot which will be rough to recover from. I think KT are more likely to recover from a deficit than SKT, but SKT up 1-0 have to be favoured.

Will wait and see the odds, but it's kinda tempting to play Dark and KT Rolster depending on odds since it's very hard to see that combination go 0-2, whereas Flash and SKT is a much less likely combination if KT wins the first map especially with Innovation not being in his best form.

My prediction for opening lines (could be anywhere though really)

Dark -160 Flash +140
SKT -112 KT -104 (without knowing match 1 matchup i'd have predicted KT opening at maybe -116 to SKT +100)

Pretty torn on the SKT -125 KT +107 line. I think I said SKT -112 from memory and KT -104 as my expected opener but I also probably didn't take Dark's edge in the first map into account enough there. Dark is clearly favoured over Flash; -185 line seems fine I think I said true line -180 and expected it to open -160 due to the casual flash money that usually comes in

KT +1.5 is tempting at -154 as if Flash wins they should almost always cover and if not they're probably 55-58% to cover anyway given they'll be picking the player for the 2nd/4th/6th games if the teams trade wins and they also have a slightly bigger chance of going on an all-kill type run with their roster

Nothing worth an official play again but I think i'll play KT and KT +1.5 for sweats; I think KT +1.5 is probably the best line so that will be my biggest play today.

If I have to pick an exact result i'll go with SKT win the first map, but either Stats or Life gets 2 kills to turn the momentum and KT get the job done 4-3 in the end in the ace map.

The thought of a full strength Jinair vs full strength KT in the semis in allkill format is amazing, then the winner facing a full strength CJ should be great too

SKT -106 KT -110 now. Closer to where I thought the line would be although I did think SKT would be small favs with the first map (or KT small favs without first map known) and the -1.5/+1.5 lines are gone now that ML is basically at evens. I ended up with about 1.7u on KT +1.5 -157 average and 0.8u on KT ML +103

Dark is getting closer to bettable in map 1 now at -162, if he gets below -150 i'll consider taking the plunge (although it's annoying to be betting against my other bets if I do)

I really hope we get a KT victory so we can see Jinair vs KT next week as well, some combo of Maru/sOs/Cure/Rogue/Trap vs Life/Flash/Zest/Stats/TY in all-kill format could lead to some amazing games. CJ will have their work cut out for them in the final against whoever they face, although herO, Bbyong and Byul are all in excellent form + whoever their supporting cast is.

I guess the Jinair lineup vs combination of Innovation/Dream/soO/Classic/Dark as well could be a fantastic game too if SKT win, although i'm hoping KT can pull it off this week.

Well this is awesome SKT sends Sorry vs Stats. Terrible choice unless he has a perfect snipe prepared, that means they lose two of Classic, soO, Innovation and Dream and KT have Life and Zest ready to go

Let's go KT make me all the money

Baffling pick with how good Dreams TvP is if they were gonna field a Terran here unless they plan to use Dream later but if they do that means 2/3 of Inno Classic and soO dont play

That went roughly how I thought it'd go

I missed Dark vs Flash and Stats vs Dark but both results went the way i'd have picked

This Sorry pick is going to hurt KT. I mean, who the hell do they pick now? Everyone is only 50/50 to beat Stats, and then best case they're 2-2 and KT gets to choose whether to use Zest or Life depending on the map and the player, and if KT go up 3-1 I don't think even Innovation can allkill from there

If I knew that SKT would field Sorry against Stats i'd have fired something like 4u on KT this is such a good spot now and match point for the +1.5 as well

Stats could be a darkhorse to win an individual league, i'd love to get him at a decent price to win Starleague this season even though the Starleague lineup seems tougher than Code S this season

+1.5 hits and someone from SKT needs to take out stats, zest and life to win. Not gonna happen.

Pretty sure stats is going to all kill now, I don't see soO, dream or classic beating him right now. Jinair are going to have to be on point next week to take him out.

Firing a half unit on Stats to win map 5 vs unknown opponent at -136, he's on a roll and I don't see any of the remaining SKT players stopping him often enough.

Edit: meh, they chose Classic, I actually would have preferred to see soO or Dream, although I think that Classic has the worst chance of the 3 of getting 3 kills vs Zest and Life as well, was banking on a soO or Dream pick

I think whoever wins tomorrow's match is a slight fav over CJ in the allkill format in the final. Should be a great match. Will wait to see starters before I handicap it; I suspect a Rogue vs Flash starting lineup, Flash's worst is TvZ and it makes sense for Jinair to open with Rogue to take advantage of that, which leaves 2 Terrans and 2 Protoss for the remaining 3 spots depending on what matchups they're needed for.

If I were the KT coach i'd be tempted to open with Stats or TY, Stats isn't super weak to any MU, Jinair are probably best to counter him in a PvP with either Trap or sOs. Knowing that I guess it's tempting to lead sOs or Trap but Rogue is the safe lead.

I think CJ have a lot of flexibility in the final, their core of Byul/herO/Bbyong, plus one of Ragnarok, Skyhigh and Bunny but Sky is really vulnerable to I think it's protoss and Ragnarok and Bunny aren't on the level of the KT and Jinair core team.

Wait and see matchups I guess but can't wait for tomorrow. Good day for me, went 3/3, Stats Map 5, KT and KT +1.5 all hit

Decided to do 0.8u on Jinair -108 vs KT; this is pretty much a pick'em on paper and opening matches aren't released yet but I suspect that it will be Rogue vs Flash, I don't think KT will be able to resist playing Flash and it hurts them least to play him first I think. Both teams are great in the allkill format so it's a pretty marginal spot either way, the favourite will be whoever is favoured in the first match probably matchup wise assuming both teams use a similar caliber player

I suspect Jinair open with Rogue or Trap, and i'd guess KT open with Flash or Stats probably. Jinair like to use Cure first but he doesnt match up well with the likely KT openers; his TvT is good but Flash is weaker to the TvZ of Rogue and with Stats its pretty much a push. I doubt KT use Zest or Life first, and Jinair are unlikely to send Maru but other than that anything is possible
