One interesting thing is that pinnacle offered the Prime lines in the first place, after refusing to do so in the past.

And the 1st time they did put it up its already becoming semi-shady. Lol.

Looks like the bet was voided.

Korean MatchfixLeague in its best.

dunno about the other games but I feel very sure that yoda threw that game on purpose. he ate so many storm showers and when he sniped 2 collosus late game he walked back and didnt finish off myungsik. these kinds of things are inconceivable at this level of play lol

Did you have a bet on Yoda? I would consider betting on him at these odds, but he was on my blacklist already after throwing his game against Bunny.

So i'm fairly convienced he already matchfixed at least once before today's match.

I would not be shocked if all almost all Prime players are fixing just because they have nothing to lose at this point.

Yeah I did bet on yoda and I'm already talking to people about this who think he threw it as well. if pinnacle voided this like you said they did then that means every single wager on the series or individual games needs to be voided by nitrogen as well seeing that they just copy pinny's lines. I'm pretty disgusted by all of this, it's like you need to not only make the best picks you can at horrible vig but also cherry pick to avoid betting on scrub matches with underpaid players who are throwing games for gambling purposes

Have a feeling it wont be voided. They already failed to void a couple of 'most likely fixed' matches in the past.

Best example would actually be Yoda-Bunny lol.

And yes, you have to cherry pick in sc2 (especially when it comes to the ProLeague). I guess thats the nature of the sc2 betting in its current form.

Looks like Nitrogen canceled all the lines for Prime today. Including Drg-creator and Yoda-Myungsik.

Super frustrating, especially because I was huge on the Sbenu opener and watched the games to avoid spoilers before seeing the cancel.

Tweeted a few questions to Pinny, was anyone else on the Sbenu line and did action get cancelled before or after the result there?

I know that Sbenu line went offline just the same time as Bomber's line did, so i would assume it probably got canceled at the same time also.

Would be nice to see a confirmation that pinnacle also voided Yoda's and Creator's matches.

I tweeted at them, maybe a couple of you could do the same see if we can get another statement

This really sucks; even without fixing I loved the Sbenu line and it's really tilting to sweat the match, win easily then see that I didn't get paid because the match was probably fixed

In any case thats both funny and sad that Pinnacle were refusing to offer Prime lines for months, decided to give them a shot this week(i guess?), which resulted in all matches being voided.

Something tells me that we wont be seeing any Prime odds any time soon, if ever.

Looks like they didnt confirm the void of other 2 Prime matches. Does that mean that Yoda-Myungsik got graded?

Maybe RaiNKhAN can confirm this.

I asked their twitter guy said he didn't have the info; I assume they'll get back to me

Also asking if its official policy to cancel the team vs team wager now if a match is voided as it hasn't been in the past

According to people on reddit all 3 matches and the team bets got voided:
http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/co..._on_bomber_vs/

Sad to see the matchfixing continuing but not surprising at all. I bet the fixers feel even more confident after the worst possible situation with MKP happened and still nothing changed.

I guess that was the last time Pinnacle provided bets for matches involving Prime.

I would assume so as well

Incredibly tilting because I had such a huge bet on Sbenu at opening lines before any of the movement occurred.

Yes. Everything got fully refunded and rightfully so. I wasn't completely sure about the other games but man Yoda's matchfixing methods were hilarious as hell. He'd macro perfectly then just eat full psi storms and have unreal poor reaction time to everything despite having perfect money spending and unit choice/upgrades.

It's really hilarious too because even though Yoda was losing on purpose it was still enough effort to win the game vs myungsik at the end lmao.

So ya, i'm a happy camper

Do you guys who bet on e-sports still play the games actively either casually or competitively and if do do you think this helps you in your betting strategies at all or not?

I still follow the scenes of LoL very in-depth of all regions, however I don't play anymore (was top 1% in soloQ before). I just deposited a bit on pinnacle to start a small roll for sport betting fun. Just because I don't play anymore it won't necessarily hinder my e-sports betting knowledge will it? Maybe I should play again a bit casually, just to know how the meta is changing and stuff a bit? I just really don't want to or have the time really to play much right now. Even a couple games a day is really pushing it atm.

I could argue that being really competitive would actually hurt your betting edge just due to the fact that it will be impossible for you to watch as much games to get optimal analysys.

Personally i was masters in sc2 before i got tired of playing it and mid 5k mmr in dota, but it all really irrelevant to betting in my opinion.

I saw someone on TL mentioning that Yoda's line went as high as +580, so its pretty obvious at this point.

Still not sure about Creator-DRG, i think Creator could've actually be one of the players Prime has at the moment who actually tries to win his games.

In my case I play casually; maybe 5 hours a month or something. I was competitive in SC1 (top 10 in Australia original SC for a while, never got that high in BW). In SC2 I bounce between gold to diamond depending how much i'm playing (which is not good; puts me in the top half of players but not the top 5% or anything). My skill ceiling would probably be low masters due to not having a high enough APM to get above that if I practised properly every day etc

As long as you have a fundamental understanding of the game I don't think beyond that helps much; anyone with a gold league plus understanding of SC2 will understand everything relevant; understanding how to read a database of results/interpret which wins were due to luck/skill through observing matches and knowing who matches up well with who stylistically is more important

Im mainly betting on Cs Go and im global elite in mm and play actively in esea / faceit leagues and i can say that playing myself helps me a lottttttttt in betting. I think u can easily be profitable in betting without even having played the game a single time, but its so much easier if u play your self and be able to watch streams and understand whats going on, on a deeper level.

do fixing matches happen often? people were saying theres like thousands of top tier sc2 players that play in the top 1% but 99% of them make like $0 so they get bribed for ridiculously cheap, like $20k or less?

It seems like it would be somewhat hard to prove, but also realistically possible.

No idea for others esports but I believe there have been 7-8 suspected fixed matches in sc2 in the past year; a lot less if any before that

Pinnacle usually voids the bets on those matches though so it's not affecting our bottom line
