And you're getting 2.5 points? I think it's an easy pick to go with Seattle. In all honesty I think it'll come down to how Denver's defense plays, not their offense. If Denver's defense somehow stuffs Marshawn and keeps Wilson to a manageable level, they will win. But I don't see Denver scoring anywhere near as many points as people think they will in this game. Seattle can move the ball, I think it'll all come down to how their offense plays, as we know their defense is pretty tough. Plus Wilson fumbled on the first play of the game last week and it should give him something to think about going into this game.

It just seems to me that Seattle has a better chance of blowing out Denver than the other way around. Everything says bet Seattle here.

Disclaimer : I thought Carolina would win against SF and was completely wrong.
Carrol is light years better than Fox.. cmon now Wil, you're better than this

I didn't want to start a huge argument about the two coaches. Personally I think Carrol is better but Fox has done a really good job.

How could you possibly say betting Seattle is getting caught up in the moment? The public overwhelmingly favors Denver.

i don't know why i laughed so hard at this, but i did. well, i guess i do know why it struck me as hilarious....you're using the sharpest nfl line of the year, to "build a roll" to bet on the sharpest cbb lines of the year.

that's pretty awesome.

i have more faith in manning throwing in 20mph wind than wilson. since both teams gonna be solid against the run and no 12th man to help Seattle I dont see how Sea is able to win

edit: also Prater has the best leg in the game. another advantage...

I bet the original Den -1. Last night I had a dream that Seattle would lose by 2 points and I just can't shake it so now I am hopping on the Sea +3. Come on middle!

Did you see how many punt return yards seattle has allowed this season?! And hauscka is every bit as good as prater (minus being able to kick in denver half the year) golden tate just as explosive as holiday in return game (granted they do different returns) seattle is coached so well its fantastic

Do sportsbooks (specifically Bovada and 5d), typically have the national anthem wagers graded in time to wager money again before kickoff?

Questions I have:

-Can Seattle get any sort of effective pass rush on Manning at all? If I'm not mistaken, Manning has been sacked zero times so far this postseason (to Wilson's 7 times). No QB was sacked less than Manning during the regular season too. His average was 1.25 sacks per game. That's just not going to get it done. How aggressive is Dan Quinn going to be early on going after Manning? I think this battle in the trenches is why the line is so tight. And it's probably going to decide who wins the game (like how the Giants managed to beat the Pats).

-Can Seattle do what the Pats couldn't do: Coerce Manning into calling runs on formations you'd expect other QB's to audible a run on. I don't know the answer to that, my gut says no. Give Manning 2 weeks to prepare at this point in the season, and he's going to be a step ahead of you 90% of the time.

-Can Seattle limit the pick plays? We know that their corners will be fine matching up on the edges, so obviously Denver will try to keep "cheating" their way across the middle. Those crossing receivers are going to have to be punished every time they try something in that spot, and that "tailpipe" coverage is going to have to be spot on. I think Seattle will limit this pretty well.

-Can Lynch and the Seattle oline dominate the line of scrimmage? That Denver secondary is more than capable, so if Seattle can't exploit their perceived advantage on the ground, I think it could be over pretty quick.

I went with Seattle +3 first and foremost for fun, but secondly because I'm of the opinion that their lines on both side of the ball get it done enough to cover. Lynch with a good game by his standards, and just enough pressure on Manning to keep it respectable. 28-27 Broncos in a classic. Manning GOAT drive to win it at the end.

Where did you get Seattle +3 for any reasonable money?

I really feel like the hawks are going to show some new looks in the run game. Some more read opt, percy on the jet sweep. in an effort to create some room for Lynch up the middle.

I'm really amazed by the depth of Seattle. Browner suspended, Maxwell comes in and is an upgrade. he's been straight ballin. he's super physical at the line. even more so than Sherman.

Mannning does not get sacked a lot because he gets rid of the ball super quick. He better look the **** out on 3rd and long. The o line is not that good. Remember the Colts game. Seahawks have 4 Mathis's.

Bodog/Bovado has been stuck on +3 -110 for a while now (that's where I bet it). They have the best reload format too, direct from your bank account with no wire. Max $2000 via internet bet, but I believe you can do $5000 by phone. For the superbowl they may make an exception on the phone total too. I'm sure those totals mean nothing to sharps, but I'm sure they're adequate for 95% of the forum's contributors. I have no real opinion on them outside of that, usually their lines are way worse than Pinny.

Sports Interaction has +2.5 -105 and it's trending towards the Seattle side.

I also think Manning doesn't get sacked a lot because he does know when to audible to Moreno also. Their run game was pretty damn impressive, that gets left out of the conversation a lot. And yes agree, Seattle D is so much more than just a stadium (which obviously helps).

I'm waiting on a bit more weather info to double down on the +3. I probably foolishly believe that if it really gets down to a battle in the trenches, Seattle getting points is too good to pass up. But I suspect I may be overplaying the cold/windy factor on an old Manning facing that pass rush. It's the SB anyway, whatever I'm betting is mostly for laughs. But I still like to feel good about my side.

^+1 on Bovada for Sea +3. I hit that up along with Den -3 +128 (+131 now) on Bitbook.

How do you set up bank deposits with Bovada? I just went through quite a hassle with them for moneygram yesterday (to be fair, they added $135 rollover-free to my account to compensate me).

I know that people often like to bet against the public, but I really do feel that Denver is at least 3 points better than Seattle, and that the right bet is on Denver even at -3. So even if it's by accident, I do think the public is on the correct side.

Also someone above said 20 mph winds, where are you hearing that? Most up to date forecasts have winds at about 8 mph.

Edit: I can bet Den -2 right now, but I was hearing late action on Sea is expected to bring the line down closer to a pk. Is there any legitimacy to this? Should I just go ahead and wager on Den -2 or should I wait?
