How on earth did this thread go from Sigs giving out gold to literally just TomG's sog?!?

It's the busiest month of the year for people who concentrate on American sports.

Did Sigs really give out gold?

You read his pastebins?

On and off but compared to TomG's sogs so far, anything is pretty much gold

Sigs info has been pretty golden imo

I totally understand why people dont want him to post it its not good for the prop guys longterm no doubt but I've used his info and done pretty good with it so far. Noone can talk him out of doing it I know poogs has tried so if hes gonna post it might as well use it

I agree it's not fair I get to have all the fun here. What do you guys want to work on? So many options this time of the year. Don't let me distract you.

Agreed, what you guys are doing is absolutely shameful and pathetic. When Sig's doesn't post you guys complain and ask him when he's posting more.

And then when Tom posts something that is still working out some kinks you guys complain and moan.

Yet none of you are contributing anything yourselves. You're just a bunch of pathetic leeches. And besides, knocking a system with a sample size of what? Two weeks? That's just underscoring your own limited understanding of sample sizes.

There are only two people here allowed to say anything negative and it's the only two that are contributing. Everyone else should just STFU and GTFO. It takes an extreme combination of cowardice and ignorance to throw shade anonymously at someone sharing something for your own benefit. You don't have to follow the model, but shame on you for coming here to ride on coattails and complain when the ride has a few bumps in the road.

I'm seriously angry at you douchebags

Sigs bets are winning, I think Tom's edges are reasonable/good he has just run bad, I only bet either at equivalent or better odds which gives me an extra cushion. It's typically not a huge % of my daily betting but it's good for team-building/camaraderie and learning about how to beat different markets. I never have even bet props until Sigs and Tom started posting them and I have realized that they are a good market to get into.

I would post more stuff but most of my bets are on the soft books and people wouldn't be able to get the same price.

Sigs has transposed some O/U in his pastebin. Whether intentional or not, it is kinda indicative of the people who're commenting.

The real value is in explaining how models are actually built. Not in Poogs trying to scam reddit idiots, but how to actually move beyond just quick and dirty back of the napkin (which makes a ton of money depending on your outs).

Obviously getting some PPH out that clones openers and never moves is a gold mine. Just bet every 0EV board item, and then hammer all the off market props. Can even find some probably 0EV parlays, since who really cares? Punch in some 0 EV teaser action while we're at it. Great talk folks. Eager for more lab hot takes next week.

When a few people are dominating the group discussion and then someone new speaks up for the first time I know there is that initial moment of panic as everyone turns to look at you. That's what we need to get over here and create a more collaborative environment. My own failures should remove any of your fear of posting losers. Let's move fast and break things.

It's one thing when you go on one of your psychotic rants against Poogs or Swoop, but are you seriously going to try to take on Sigley? I can guarantee you that anyone who makes any serious money in this knows you are a fraud.

I can at least understand the trolling, but pretending to be Mr. Genius Big Money Modeling Guy? Spare me. Spare your boss. You're embarrassing him.

I didn't say anything when poogs said that because I too did think he was joking... There's been a lot of people who haven't otherwise even been commenting previously spring up lately with a critique and it's like seriously wtf, look at the title and purpose of the thread, why are you even here if you're going to criticize the only person contributing anything?

I definitely made a bigger issue out of it than necessary and apologize for that. But I can't stand random anonymous contention online from people who wouldn't ever have the balls to initiate in person. It's just indicative of a weak personal constitution.

Either that or having an autistic meltdown and not recognizing everyone here is just joking around...

I'm certainly not complaining but sigs implied push freqs were off, at least for 2 of the spreadsheets I looked at. Big picture I'm sure it means nothing.

What is the purpose of this thread?

What is the end goal?

A bunch of amateur fisherman hoping to eat the leftovers of a pro until the end of time?

Camaraderie/learning opportunities/fun

There are lots of smart people in this thread, I have learned a lot from what has already been put out there. I am a big proponent of learning from everyone. This is just another opportunity.

I want to give you another example. So in the LC thread you made post about how you felt you had gotten into a bad business deal because your friend talked you into it. I thought that was an interesting point and made a mental note, I have done the same process for a handful of your other posts addressing topics such as: autonomy, free will, choice, independence and other topics that you have both addressed directly or addressed by proxy. Who knows when or if I will ever have to use this mental note but in my lifetime I feel it will come in handy at some point and save me a great deal of pain.

So that's kind another purpose that this thread presents: an open exchange of ideas in work that can at times be monotonous.
