I was getting pissed at Lamar. He had Snead for 2 easy completions earlier in the game and missed em both.

Yeah if two players are similar it'll underestimate the advantage for the better player, but then sometimes you get some ridiculous thing like player A -240 vs player B. I don't think it makes much difference as a practical matter. I tracked the winrate for a couple years and it was ridiculous so I just bet it and don't really think twice.

Okay I think I figured out to know if we are in home or away with faceoffs.

There's a rink side variable in there for each period. I'm assuming left corresponds to a negative x value and right a positive x value.

So if home is left in period 1 and x is negative, I coded the faceoff as occurring in the home zone which means they are on defense (less ice behind them) and other team is in a favorable attacking position (3/4th of the ice behind them).

And then if y < 0 coded as bottom of the ice, y > 0 top.

then I got

The API only has data from 2016 season on. Been running the full bot (when I ran it yesterday I just did it for a month of data to test it out) for a couple hours now and we are only at 10/27/17. Hopefully will be done tonight and we can all dig in. If the proportion stays the same we are looking at 350k or so faceoffs!

Since I was doing the API Calls already I'm also pulling all the goalie stats, linescores, playerStats, and teamStats.

Kinda regret not doing play by play now that I'm seeing how long it's taking. Could have just spend an hour on that and not wasted 8 hours of api calls.

I got 288k faceoffs in my db (starting 16-17 season), I don't scrape pre & post season. Probably should.

oh yep i just did them all. if you do it in the ID the 5th and 6 digit correspond to pre, reg, post

01 = pre
02 = reg
03 = post

so just substring the thing and map it

i also have a season field so can filter out pre season if you don't want it

what happened to ulker

23 points in 2 quarters. then milano can't score in the 4th so ulker scores a whole 6 points in 5 minutes

Zay Jones hasn't gotten starter snaps since week 4.

However Ruggs is on the covid list, he won't play. Agholor is healthy. Renfrow is healthy. Edwards is healthy.

Ruggs has been getting ~40+ snaps per game that have to go somewhere so I guess that's where the Jones line is coming from. He's got hands carved from stone though so I can't argue against smashing the under blindly.

I maxed all 3 of his unders. I hope I’m golden.

Edit: Wow Sharps must have hammered ASAP. His lines were taken down.

They dropped quite a bit. 1.5 for receptions at worse odds then I got for 2.5. Yards went from 27.5 to 21.5 and longest went from 15.5 long to 12.5 long.
