The people who set these prices are not particularity well paid or trained. I have an inside at a big live betting operation. Employees make about $1500 a month and set the prices manually based on a software that is provided to them. The thing is that sometimes they get it wrong (I see stuff like a +7.5 when it should be a -7.5, didn't bet because I didn't want my account flagged) also they are manually changing the price at a slower price then they are getting the live feed. So yeah I see mistakes and misprices fairly often and sometimes the software just gets it wrong (a bad number or a misunderstanding of the nuance of the game dynamic).

Interestingly enough they tell me that all the employees bet on the games as well to pass the time. Seems like an easy way to just set a good price and then manually bet it yourself, but I guess the site doesn't have a problem with it. Who knows.
