camping equipment, canned/freeze-dried foods, hit the road with 20k cash. 6 months of b&m casino grinding. there's no going back home until the 6 months are up. either thrive or live in a tent looking for that next score. nothing hokey about hard reality.

this is me these days.

guy made it longer in this business than me though so congrats to him.

That was the goal behind 20k. If I bring 100k then it would be too easy. Bad couple of days? It's cool just find a hotel and sleep it off. Bad couple of days with 20k and now I need to choose if I want to spend $100 on a hotel or sleep in my car.

I guess that thought that I'm never really in danger will always be there unless I sign everything over to someone to manage like Brittany spears

it's not so bad. counting cards is for hillbillies, but you're all clever enough to graduate from that pretty quickly. if you're starting with 20k, i suggest doing a sacramento to salt lake city RV relocation deal and working the I-80 route. you can skip yearington, the 50/hr promo there got blown out by the local methamphetamine users years ago.

My suggestion is lets make it into a reality TV show with challenges and voting people off the island. TV networks must be struggling for shows with the filming regulations.

My only issue I don't have a good back story for viewers to relate to. It's just I went to school and now I'm here.

I bet if you let them film your wax town you'd get your own show.

I've been buying up parcels of land all over Nevada. Super cheap now. Once the main cities are surrounded then the wax towns will just swallow up and incorporate them.

I don't know if it's smart investing but I've just been buying up land with water rights, wells, and mineral rights all around the big cities. At worst I just die with some useless land. At best in 30 years I'll be a trillionaire off water rights (until the govt just takes it without asking) and can live my mid 60s as a super villain.

To make it a horrible investment too I've been paying cash instead of financing. But it's also real hard to get financing with good terms for these parcels. They've livable but no one wants to live there. Banks won't touch them and other non traditional methods charge 8-10% apr.

I've been addicted since about 8 years ago I bought a lot of land outside of Kansas City and Austin and now both are now part of a suburb with cookie cutter homes after I flipped it to developers for a big profit a couple years back.

Best Theory We've Seen Regarding 5Dimes Abrupt Shutdown Notice

Interesting. I am glad I had no money there or futures bets.

Insolvent books do the opposite--delay and ration withdrawals. That's not what is happening here.

If I had to speculate, Tony's wife has no interest in running a bookmaking operation so she sold the shop to a buyer who wants to take the book in a different direction.

Agreed. This theory makes virtually no sense.

This is what I would lean towards as well. Current owners stop taking American action in late September. Business officially sold to new ownership group at the beginning of October. New owners can apply for US gaming license showing that they have not taken American action since taking over and that all illegal activity was committed by the former owners who are no longer involved in the business.

New owners meeting before they decided to purchase 5Dimes

I prefer the theory that the US govt faked Tony's death so that he could save regulated sports betting in America, but that all sounds reasonable. 5 Dimes probably just initially omitted to tell the new owners they would be on the hook for 250k+ in futures EV so they had to find a "solution" to that thus causing the confusion on accounts being transferred over or not.
