Ive been grinding poker for a long time and always played sports for enjoyment on the side. Recently i met this guy who has to be one the best sports gamblers in the world. I met him in person when i sam him making 20k-50k plays. he told he sells the picks i was thinking its a scam i told him no thanks. I did follow him on instagram @bigrobstyle and was tracking his posts. when i saw other people where paying for his picks i decided to give it a try. He has pick 65% right over the 20 bets I've been with him and yesterday on opening day of college football he was 7 for 9. I never thought things like this worked but this guy is that good. Pocket fives is one of my spots where my fellow grinders are and i thought i would share this positive experience and let people know there is definitely a good opportunity there. This guys page is definitely at least worth checking out its pretty epic.

a) this isn't p5s
b) win % is irrelevant without also posting the prices, I could easily have a 80%+ win ratio too picking -700 ML dogs
c) sample size - if he's that much of a winner over a big sample why is he selling picks

65% correct picks is impressive if he's picking -105 or -110 lines, less so if he's picking -200 lines obviously

thats why i put his instagram page up. with baseball you will always get some heavy negatives but he has a good mixture up. Check it out I've been wining on the bets he has up.

Boonedude,

nothing says sharp like posting your plays on instagram. i was dubious at first but it seems legit after all.

Hello. I have some moeny to invest on sporting bets. But I don't always have the time needed. So i'd like to have a subscription in a site that can send me some tips every day. Not for trading but for punting mostly. What are the best options guys? THanks a lot

this Phillygodfather guy and his animals lol i don't follow them much but my buddy paid 600$ for 3 month service.. so i took look at his twitter, they boast some good winning % but its funny after clicking on some tweets you see nothing but hate responses from users. he claims have over 6000 users at $600 3 months.. you can do that math... its a lot! i wonder how accurate it actually is. whats the verdict on these guys?

I wouldn't pay for PGF and some of the plays advocated by Vegas Runner and those guys are absolutely ridiculous. I follow them mostly for entertainment.

There are way better cappers on twitter who don't charge a cent. Have a poke around.

Is there any database that shows well known sports bettors' stats that is also unbiased?

I want to find Handicappers to follow that have a good ROI and choose some of their picks.

I find stuff that says "Hey guys I'm ______, I did a really good job in 2002 and 2007 betting on football with 42-28 for both those years combined. Last week I got 3-0." This statement is pretty much worthless, because it is only picking the good points of data and not the whole collection.

As Bush league as this looks its fairly accurate. If your contemplating buying a service I would monitor their results on your own because 2nd poster is right, most services just suck and lose.

Joey Jerkoff's Lock of the Week isn't going to make you any money. In most cases, the evil touts who sell their stupid picks are a lot worse than the free handicappers you can find. Do the research yourself, tail free cappers, and/or just don't bet on sports.

It gets said often around here, but it's not often enough: do not buy picks. Ever. For any reason. EVER.

Hey guys does anyone ever pay for pics? I know lots of sites are out there that are scams and I already do pretty well for myself making pics on my own. I try and look up reviews online but there's lots of mixed reviews especially for wunderdog pics and atswins. Has anyone ever heard anything positive on those two or any others. I have an edge already because my local book charges no juice so if I could even get my winning percentage up 2-5 percent it can be a decent amount.

Thoughts on RAS and his changes to his package?

Wunderdog is legit in NHL but factor in the service fee and the juice on bets it's really hard to make a profit. Lot of great free resources out there you just have to look for them. Twitter is a great place to start, lot of solid capperson on there that give out free leans, advice, picks etc.

Didn't make much sense till I read this thread. Someone said "the books subscribe to RAS and move their lines immediately upon release" and then it clicked. That's probably why he's going away from the release page and to text message/email delivery only.

According to the website below:
mlbbaseballfreepicks(dot)com

There is a column of statistics for each of the players. Can I trust these recorded statistics to be accurate? In other words, are they only choosing certain games out of a small sample or are they including everything.

I want to follow some handicappers picks to see if they yield a positive ROI over a decent period of time. I'm scouting out players that are 95% certain of having a ROI of 2% or higher.

There's ********.com, verified picks and with a lot of profitable handicappers. don't say paid picks are all scam when you didn't take enough time to study things. I've been following a paid tipster for two months and i am in profit

Down over 16 units at his specialty, 9 losers in a row over the last 2 days. Is the new release time (betting into a more mature market) hurting them? Is the wiseguy play to jump on for the remainder of the season on a hope for regression to the mean? I know that this is a streaky business, but a lot of these plays were not just X factor losses, but true blowouts where the other side was the right play, in hind site of course. But it is my experience that winning players often get unlucky with their losers a lot.

I always find it telling when a service, even a great one like RAS, starts losing after making the product more accessible. which is exactly what he has done this year.

He's never beat sides in conference play, so I certainly wouldn't expect him to start now.

They switched back to releasing early when limits are at their lowest after hitting 38% (rounding up) in November. My guess is that they'll be small winners going forward*, but glhf getting down enough to make subscribing worthwhile.

* - Including all of the subtle accounting tricks they use
