There were some things you could dig out of Soccernomics to help with betting. You just need to be a little creative.

Any good book to read on Sports Arbitrage?

I'm looking for a book about Sports Arbitrage that would cover the basics and especially the mistakes not to make while placing bets. I also need tips on how to scalp bonuses and use freebets efficiently.

I found something on Amazon but I don't know if it is any good:

Sports Arbitrage - The Unknown and Very Lucrative Risk-Free Way to Making Easy Money From Home With No Special Skills (Sports Betting)

I'd also like if the book could give tips on how to pick winners (for fun) and how to use ValueBets

Any recommendations?

Only book I've read is The Book on Bookies by Charles Oliver. Very good if you want to know then ins and outs on how to bet each sport and what each figure on an odds sheets means, other than that not very helpful for a sports bettor looking for an edge on the house.

I have no idea if it is any good, haven't read it - but the author of this eBook is poster here who invited me to have a look. Considering right now it is free, figured I'd go ahead and just link it

I don't have time to read it right now myself.

I'm going to guess this book isn't at all what you guys think it is.

http://forums.eog.com/showthread.php...sports-betting

The section on using Madden NFL ratings to get a grip on injury impacts absolutely is legit. You can suggest a better way, though.

The formula for deducing push frequencies from Pinnacle's lines is something you haven't seen before.

The exposition on line grinding at a higher level than merely comparing lines to Pinny, or on on how to choose between alternate lines, is nowhere on the internet that I know of.

You don't have to like the book, and you might be so super sharp that you can't learn anything from anyone ever ... but you could also read it before jumping to that conclusion.

I skimmed through it last night. Seems like a good primer for n00bs with some decent lol Pokerjoe material for the chat room millionaires. The notion that Pinnacle is super on top of push frequencies these days is comical.

What are these all sports betting books about? I have never been to sports betting so don't know anything related to subject. But I am feeling I am interested and also needing money so I will have some hands in such betting after some knowledge, experience and proper guidelines.

Is that true? "Comical"? Who do you think is the best these days? Or is it that no one is?
