If you are serious into sports betting you gotta embrace the statistics aspects of it. I recommend you taking a look at Wayne Winston's Mathletics. It covers several topics in baseball, basketball and football via a statistics-heavy approach. It goes well with another data analysis books.

Since sports betting is always changing and new techniques are developed, also keep an eye on online blogs (which are updated much more often).

Buying books on sports betting is just more money lost on sports betting.

My advice on sports betting is to simply learn the theory of holes.

It's a very simple theory and it goes like this:

When you are in a hole, stop digging.

You may scoff and say that's stupid, I understand that.

A vast majority of sports bettors never do.

You make money by having an information advantages against the bookies.

You make money by choosing best available odds.

You don´t make money by statistics, otherwise everybody would run a system. Bookies have 100x statistics you have. End of the story.

I love how we have to fight two sides of the same battle in here.

On the one hand you have guys coming in say theyre new to betting and betting 10 dollar units but think they have an edge nfl straight 100k+ markets.

Then on the other hand you have guys saying beating sports is impossible and no one does it.
