when a GM says, 'we're trying to change our culture' at the draft, how do you feel about that as a player who has been there a couple years?

They're pretty similar. I'd say Fooled by Randomness is simpler and the Black Swan goes into greater detail. He's a bit too zealous in the Black Swan though IMO; he starts attacking almost any risk/mathematical modeling as broken while he misses some of the insights they can provide, especially with respect to simpler gambling/randomness scenarios.

Greg - I can delete your post instead if that will make it easier.

I contacted greensmoke about this privately. There is nothing going on here. If I was running around deleting a bunch of stuff over the past six months I'm pretty sure you would have heard about it by now. LDO.

MB,

yes you sent me a pm explaining what your justification/reasoning behind erasing posts in that thread.

i disagree with your decision/pm, but am too too lazy to essay battle you. again ill reiterate: you should not erase posts, unless they are blatant spam. it messes up threads and displaces other posts. Also as a heads up Im too lazy to respond to the essay or mod-troll that will be your follow up to my post which makes engaging you impoosible unless you are level 17+.

Cliffs:
do not erase posts.

Green, my pm to you was not long. Neither is this post. Disagreeing is fine. My deletion was fine too. Nobody got hurt. Lighten up. Have a nice day.

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

Somehow you have tricked me to engage a higher level troll, well played mauer. engaging:

I am light and fluffy, been stacking those 7 gameparlays all baseball season. Adding to that the RLM free monies compliments of iowa steam on golf h2h,compounded by the Taiwan syndicate movement, i've been killing it. I hope you are also thriving. I assume you are enjoying the summer as the ice hockey play by plays must be limited this time of year. Enough idle chit chat tho, we have more pressing matters at hand.

re:MBB post deletion: there is a sticky contained within this small insignificant media sub forum that warns of a mod with limited knowledge and abilities the very subject of this small media sub forum. considering that sticky i don't think you should erase posts contained within the same forum there is a sticky warning of your ignorance+6 attack

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

green - It was a self-deletion of my own ignorance that also had nothing to do with sports-betting....therefore was for the betterment of the forum as suggested by another forum member who evidently does not think the same way as you. A couple of replies pointing this out were innocent casualties of the siege. Level 7. Ha.

There are entertaining hijacks. And then there are those that get in the way and inhibit the way-too-rare half-decent discussion around here. This one was the latter. So LDO at me to not get in the freaking way. And also LDO to do something about it when I stupidly do.

Thanks again for your interest in this hugely important matter and Happy Canada Day.

when i was little everyone always said china was on the other side of the world. given our world's time zone situation, that should put china at just past noon. do chinese people not have any sports to bet on?
