what do you guys think of BetOnline? SBR rates them a B+ but they advertise there too.

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

fair rating for BOL would be C or C-

worst customer service in the industry, payouts are shady, you probably won't get stiffed but it will take a long time and possibly high fees, lines aren't bad but usually not the best on the board

there are a lot of other places i'd sign up at before bol

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

BOL paid me but they seem to use every stall tactic imaginable and are very annoying/frustrating to deal with. There rating is lol bull**** and is basically a perfect example of just how lol the "rating" system in place at sbr is.

There poker situation is even worse. there are even a few threads on sbr with 2p2 posters (wiltontilt i think) looking to get there money and account unfrozen after being accused of dumping or something shady that wasn't going on.

as holiday said lots and lots of better options out there.

so since were on the topic of rating books... should i be worried about my money on bovada? i requested a payout over a month ago, still waiting on it, their responses to my emails haven't made me feel safe about having money there

As long as Calvin Ayre is affiliated with them , I would say your money is safe
but I do remember reading this a while back http://sportsbettingsites.org/news/b...s-warning-444/

define "money".

i think the last 3 checks i got from bovadadog have averaged 45 real days. i don't play poker or bet on sports as a job, so as long as the checks clear (i had one back in like, '10 from here that didn't, they snap sent a new one, though i guess that was the old management) i really don't care. would i like them quicker? obv. do i realize it's gonna be 6 weeks? yeah

their poker is still too soft. i have exactly $1,097.03 on there at this exact moment (in 3 sngs currently). that's less than i make every paycheck from teaching, so while i'd rather not lose it, it's not like i'd be in trouble if i lost it.

plus, beyond the % they charge on deposits (okay, that's obnoxious) it's really easy to deposit. really no reason to have money on basically any site that you can't afford to lose, right?

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

^^ good to know. i guess i wont think about it for another month or so. their poker is pretty damn easy. i have about 1k on it right now so its not the end of the world if i lose it. the payout was for 1.5k tho so well see how long it takes them

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

i still check sbr's section on the industry or whatever it is specifically for bovada. pretty sure they also have one in the 'internet poker' forum here for payouts.

nobody's been stiffed, many have gotten sketchy/scary email updates, and everyone has had to wait for.ever.

Didn't they make it so that everyone at the table is anonymous? How can you ever get anyone to respect your raises?

Found this while browsing 5d's lines:

Is highlighted bet something they would freeroll me on or honor it? Seems like a mistake so I'm not betting it.

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

With a place like 5d though, I would hope they catch it, cancel the bet BEFORE the game, and not freeroll their customers on it.

Some less reputable books I assume it is worse. They will probably notice the mistake sooner or later AND they will decide to only cancel if the bet wins.

Probably better to report the mistake to the book and maybe hope they give you some sort of token reward than to try to bet obvious mistakes, right?

Wait? Sharky shut down?

Fwiw, the score was already about 72-0 in favor of Iowa way before whatever recently happened.

Re: April - June LC Thread: Good old country hardball

last time i was in ny he turned the most traffic congested areas into either a park or one lane by adding tons of bike lanes no one uses

he really doesn't understand people and just does whatever he wants. i bet the next thing he will do is close the bars at 2am

I can speak as a new yorker. the guy definitely is really a POS. I mean he keeps jacking up tolls, doubles the prices of parking tickets , tries to set up new tolls etc..
I mean the guy is a billionaire and has a ***** chauffeur , he doesn't know what it feels like.
